Caravelle Resort is within 2.5 miles of Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede dinner show, and The Dunes Golf Club.
This Myrtle Beach resort offers a laundry room with coin-operated machines, and a game room provides coin-operated video games. The complimentary fitness center contains cardio and weight machines. A small store sells groceries, beer, wine, and sundries, and a lobby kiosk offers high-speed Internet access (surcharge).
In summer, complimentary, supervised activities are available for children during the day, with surcharges for certain arts and crafts and for a weekly evening pizza party.

Caravelle Resort offers 620 air-conditioned guestrooms, suites, and 2- and 3-bedroom condominiums. With the exception of the three-bedroom condominiums, all accommodations feature balconies offering ocean views. All accommodations provide either a full kitchen or a kitchenette that includes a four-burner range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, toaster, coffee/tea maker, dishes, glasses, flatware, and cookware. Decor features tropical furniture and pastel fabrics.
Rooms and suites are located in the 14-story oceanfront hotel that includes a 6-story parking garage and the resort's principal water attractions--to which all resort guests have access.
Two-bedroom condominiums are located in a 7-story oceanfront building that includes a private, seasonal outdoor pool. Three-bedroom condominiums are located in a 12-story building set 1.5 blocks from the beach that includes a private, seasonal outdoor pool and does not provide an ocean view.
Caravelle Resort comprises a number of buildings but not all are beachfront. St.Johns is across the street from the beach. Sea Mark Tower, Arbor, Harborside, and Drydock are 1-1.5 blocks from the beach.

Santa Maria Restaurant - Buffet and à la carte breakfast service daily.
Liquids Coffee & Martini Bar - Open year-round for coffee drinks and cocktails.
Marco Polo - Open spring to autumn. Rustic, open-air poolside spot also accessible from beach. Burgers, hot dogs, snack foods, smoothies, tropical drinks.
Pirates Cove - Open spring to autumn. Snack bar serving sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, pizza, smoothies, ice cream.
Recreation
Water attractions include a complex containing a 65-by-30-foot pool; a flower-shaped children's pool; an oval, 40-foot children's lazy river pool with tubes, and a 15-person spa tub. In winter, a translucent roof shelters the complex, with the roof removed in late spring to late fall. Adjacent to the complex is a seasonal, outdoor, 100-foot oval lazy river pool with tubes and a 15-person spa tub. On the hotel's seventh floor, a solarium offers year-round swimming in a 45-by-12-foot pool paired with a four-person spa tub. Outside the solarium, another four-person spa tub provides open-air soaking.
The beach lies just over wooden stairs protecting beach grasses. Umbrellas and chairs are available for rent. Between the resort's main building and the beach, an expansive lawn offers lounge chairs for sunbathing.
A water sports center 5.5 miles away offers a wide variety of rental equipment, including personal watercraft and windsurfers, and books parasailing flights and banana boat rides.
Although the resort does not have its own golf course, guests have playing privileges at the private Dunes Golf and Beach Club, which features an 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. that has hosted PGA Senior Tour tournaments and the Women's U.S. Open.

“Overall wonderful”
The Caravelle Resort was wonderful. It is close to everything and anything you want to do and the room was perfect for our short stay. The only uncomfortable thing was the parking garage. It was so tight to get in and out of and the spaces were tight as well. There is another garage across the street, but we did not try that one. Overall the hotel, room, and pools were wonderful.

“great place to relax”
stayed here with my wife for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. the room had a great view of the ocean and was extremely quiet. enjoyed the beach and pool and had several drinks at the marco polo grill poolside. plenty of parking and the elevators right outside my room were convenient and fast. hated to leave!!
“The Caravelle-Great place to stay!”
The weather did not cooperate during our stay, but the hotel and staff were great! If we have to be rained in, The Caravelle is the place to be! We had not been since they remodeled. The place is beautiful!
“way cool!!!!!”
I was very pleased with the hotel. We must of got the new renavated room, all new kitchen appl. Then just a few thing I wish that could be fixed or improved are : the parking, the elevaters were not working to well and the stair well was very dirty, the slidinging door in the room did not work right we had to slam it shut and it needed oil on the tracks . And the saving the pool side chair's even though it has signs posted people still layed the towls downs at 8 am and did not sit in them till 11 or so. My room was right at the second level and right above the hot tub I could see and hear it all. I will reguest next year an oceanfront room not ocean view and on floor 4 or higher, we did have a great time don't get me wrong. The activitys for the kids were great also cheap . one more thing when we booked the room on expedia we were to get 2 free breakfast each morning ,we where not giving that when we checked in .I had to go back the two days later and get that pass so missed out on 2 day of this. Thanks for a great stay .
“Absolutely fabulous!”
This was a wonderful place to stay. The room was very spacious and the view was fabulous. It was very clean, extremely close to the beach. The balcony was very nice and we cannot wait to return.

At first we we're concerned about some of the opinions of other guests, but after further review of all the facts, this hotel was one of the best buys for our money. The rooms where spotless, and the staff was very accommidating. The various pools and hot tubs we're perfectly clean, and while the elevators have not been newly remodeled, they went up and down-yahooie! One of the benefits to us was that this hotel is on the more sophisticated side of the beach (North) away from the disco boardwalk. My wife and I we're so impressed with the cost of this trip that we are planning to return again at the end of Oct, and are going to uprade to the gorgous two bedroom. Enjoy yourselves, as we did!
“We loved it and want to stay there again.”
After trying several motels in the Myrtle Beach area, we feel that we have found one that deserves repeat visits. We had a wonderful stay with a beautiful view of the ocean from our room.
“good service-after room switch”
-when we got there, they gave us a room in the tower=Horrible. The room was very outdated and just plain gross-I guess the oldest part of the hotel BUT- when we called the service desk, they immediately changed us to an ocean front in the large main (Obviously newer) building w/ no hassle-SO Much Better! Comfy bed Lg room Great water pressure Nice modern decor And buffet breakfast But Don't Let Them Put You In That Awful "Tower" Beside The Large Building
