“Very Luxurious Hotel !”
Mykonian Mare is a very luxurious hotel. The rooms are nice, and the staff was wonderful. Although, the bartender was a bit on the creepy side. This hotel is on the hill so the view is amazing. The diner room over looks clear blue water from the ocean. Overall I would defantly recommend this hotel, although it is about a 10 Euro cab ride to the city where all the clubs are located. There is really no restaurants around the hotel but the food in the hotel restaurant is great! There is a breakfast included and the diner menu ranges from 15-25 Euros.
“Relax in Mykonos”
If looking for a good sleep and an excelent wake up this hotel is a great choice. It is not located in the busiest part of the island so is great for relax. To get to the port or beaches it is very easy to rent a moto a go out. Great and tradition breakfast. Completely worth it to have an ocean view room.
“how could you go wrong in mykonos?”
A beautiful hotel, a bit far from town, but we planned for this by renting a car, which I strongly recommend for anyone traveling to Mykonos even if you stay in town. It is easy to drive here, the town offers free parking in a very large lot to the southeast of town, and I recommend renting a car rather than renting one of the scooters and 4 wheelers that seem so popular: these leave you exposed to the sun and wind and sand. When we drove to the beaches, even the ones hidden away (none more than 20 minutes drive) we passed folks on the 4 wheelers braced against the wind going 30 MPH with their 50cc motors whining. There was no place they could go that our car couldn't go. At the hotel the private pools are cold (the constant wind makes them difficult to enjoy). Don't be fooled by the weather reports of a 5mph wind on Mykonos. The wind is never this slow except in the middle of town sheltered by the buildings. The bathrooms need to be updated, they have some rust and other wear and tear. But the rooms are incredibly romantic, the views outstanding, the breakfast fabulous (unlike others I have experienced in Europe).
“Would go back in a minute.”
Absolutely loved this resort. So beautiful. The room and view were breathtaking. The breakfast was terrific. Pool, lounge area, bar were lovely, with a fabulous bartender. Would love to go back.
“World traveler”
Not a 5 star hotel, but it was nice. The service was great.
“Problème de surbooking”
Hotel venant juste d'être rénové. Les nouvelles chambres sont très luxueuses, bien qu'un peu petite. Nous avions demandé et payé une suite, mais nous n'avons eu qu'une deluxe, et l'hotel a d'abord refusé de confirmer ce fait. D'ou un peu d'enervement qui a été calmé par le directeur.
“great hotel, pity about the service”
at check in we were excited to be told that we had a room upgrade from superior to deluxe. The room took an hour to clean and we needed to remind the receptionist we were still waiting before we could enter. No one helped us with our luggage to the room, i'd have expected a 5* hotel to have at least done this. As we entered the room we discovered an upgrade meant we had a bath with a hand held shower rather than the advertised hydro-shower. On the flip side there were a number of plus points. The barman gave us free drinks as soon as we entered the hotel, nice touch. Aldo, the guy who shuttles guests around the island, was fantastic. He'd take you into Mykonos town, to the port, airport. He was quick, on time and entertaining. Unfortunately the rest of the staff let the place down. A few guests did get irritated by the pool staff who constantly turned the music around the pool up, even after guests started to complain. Overall the hotel was great, amazing pool area, great selection and breakfast and a very spacious room but just needs investment in service as well as facilities.
“Dont be misled by the photos”
My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our first day in greece for our honeymoon. We were so excited to have finally arrived but after we checked in, things went from bad to worse. First, our door wouldnt open so a staff member had to literally take the door apart and reinstall it again, about an hr wasted. 2nd,the lights above the sink/mirror wouldnt turn on (and they couldnt get it fixed in all the 3days we stayed there). 3rd, the mini frigde was LEAKING, meaning we had a small pond of water near the desk/sofa area every hr... overall, one of the worst hotels we ever stayed in... if you looking for a good stay in Mykonos...well, we have shared our experience here...
