“Wonderful Hotel in Muskegon”
Great location and very nice Hotel in Muskegon overlooking the harbor into Lake Michigan.
“Muskegon weekend getaway”
My family came here for a nice weekend getaway, and had a great experience. The view from our room was such a nice change of pace from our daily grind, and really that was the entire reason we picked this hotel. Very close to a walking/biking trail that takes you around the late, there was a nice continental breakfast in the morning, and the kids loved the pool/hot tub. The only issue we had, was the hot tub was not very warm in the morning, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Would definitely go back.
“Long stay”
We stayed at this hotel for nearly a month, so got to know it well. The best points about it is that the rooms are well laid out with a touch of personality (unique furniture and layout), vs. the standard hygenic design; the restaurant is very good; the sunsets spectacular. The hotel is well staffed and the staff are responsive. With the fan on "on", the rooms are really remarkably quiet and the beds quite comfortable. On the downside, a business traveler can be hampered by lack of consistent WiFi (though some community PCs are located downstairs) and by lack of a traditional desk (see "personality" comment above).
“Why would you stay any place else?”
Next to the water and a marina, it has a great restaraunt next to it with out door seating. This hotel is out of the ordinary and far better than any motel in the ares.
“Wonderful Experience”
The classic Victorian decor was a pleasant surprise. It was family friendly but the decor made it feel extra special especially to the kids. Our room was very large - 2 queen beds, couch, entertainment hutch, full refridgerator, sink, microwave, bath with tub. We had plenty of room for our family of 5 with one in a pack n' play. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay there again the next trip we make to Michigan Adventure.

The military ship next door is a cool site to see....the restaurant behind the hotel on the dock has great food and atmosphere.
“2nd trip was just as good as the firs”
I highly recommend this hotel. The last time I was there was about two years ago and it was under different ownership. The new owners have kept this hotel in great shape. I had only one problem with my stay, the air conditioner/ heater. It was loud. Every time it turned on at night it woke me up so I ended up opening the door to the balcony to cool the room off. Other than that little issue, this is a great hotel which I would recommend to anyone! Not only do they have a pool, there is also a hot tub and a spa, one is heated much more than the other and they are both relaxing. If you stay there I highly recommend going to Mike's Landing for breakfast (in Muskegon) and for a great lunch go to the Red Rooster bar/grill just north of Muskegon State Park.

“Very Nice”
Get room with ambiance- 3 huge sliders overlooking the marina and lake, one with a balcony. Hotel is set up as "old fashioned"- antiques...but very tasteful- not overdone! Nicecontinental breakfast with linen tableclothes and GREAT coffee! An awesome stay!
“Great stay, nice hotel!”
We chose this hotel after reading reviews and knowing it was close to our family vacation destination- Michigan's Adventure. When we arrived to check in, I noticed how nice the decor in the lobby is...very elegant & impressive. The front-desk staff was pleasant and friendly, and the check-in process was quick; it was late 9PM. We ordered burgers from the marina restaurant and they were very tasty. We stayed in a king corner room with fireplace and jacuzzi. The room was large, clean and spacious, there was a large refrigerator and a microwave in the room; table with 2 chairs. The jacuzzi tub was awesome. Our room’s view was not facing the water but our stay was short so we didn’t mind. We will request a water view next time. Breakfast in the morning was good; yogurt, cereals, juice, danishes, breads, mini donuts, etc. We didn't use either pools, as we arrived late and were tired and checked out at 11AM the following day to continue our travels. But we did take a nice walk around the hotel and marina and the grounds were just beautiful! We took pictures, it was so pretty. Our son wanted to go in the outdoor pool when he saw it! Very nice patio/grilling area, too for the guests to use. We would definitely recommend the Shoreline Inn and return in the future.
