Lots of positives for this location. We travelled with a baby. The room: spacious and comfortable, clean rooms and a spacious washroom. Breakfast: Amazing breakfast spread. Lots of hot options and continental. definitely will stay again here for the breakfast. Staff: Very friendly staff. There was a waitress named Love at the breakfast buffet and she was awesome. Location: 5-7mins to Ostbahnoff where you can take any trains to anywhere around Munich. Very quiet neighborhood. Some construction, but it not bad. Definitely great if you wanna be close to the center but not too close. Baby: we travelled with a baby. The hotel set up a crib for her and everything was good for her including food options. We also had a coffee/,hot chocolate station in the main entrance at the Residence Inn. It had a common fridge and water. We will definitely stay here again

Stayed for a few nights for the Oktoberfest in Munich. The hotel is easy to reach by U-Bahn from the Munich central station. The East train stating is a walkable distance from the hotel giving you access to the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and intercity trains. There is also a tram stop nearby that will take you directly to the Oktoberfest grounds and the center of Munich. It's a Marriott so there is a level of expectation, and that expectation was met. The hotel does have laundry machines available for guest use, but be warned that there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers and there can be a bit of a wait with other guests also trying to do their laundry.

Great stay
We had a great stay. Check in was a little rough as there were a lot of folks checking in, and our guy did not speak very good English, but to be fair, we don’t speak any German and we were in Germany! At check out, we had a wonderful gal who helped us figure it all out. All was good in the end. Convenient location to train, and awesome breakfast. Staff was very friendly!

Munich City East- Marriott Residence Inn
The hotel location was great. We were close to the train station and could get around Munich easily. There were great restaurants nearby to eat. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was great every day. The staff was helpful with train instructions, restaurant info, etc.

After check in, we went up to the room and tried to connect our phones to the smart TV, as there were instructions on the screen how to do so. After maybe 15 minutes we gave up, and left for the day to tour. It was rainy so we came back to the hotel after dinner. Entering our room, the AC still hadn't cooled it down so we wanted to take showers. Unfortunately, there was no body wash left in the canister. When we tried to call down to the lobby for service we found out the phone doesn't work. At reception they told us phones were down and the smart TV instructions no longer worked. It was a rainy evening and so we decided to try to watch some English channels on the cable TV. Unfortunately only 3 worked the other Englisch channels were scrambled. This hotel left a lot to be desired in comparison to a different residence inn we stayed at maybe 5 minutes away. The staff tried to make up for the hotels lacking however, by offering free drinks and parking. But it was not an up to standard stay.

We had an excellent stay, and the staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. We were able to check in early and had lunch at the restaurant and the food and the service was excellent. The breakfast was fantastic as well!

Very good stay
Overall very good. Roadside room may be found noisy from trains, trams and traffic. Good choice buffet breakfast but, as is generally common in most buffets, hot food wasn't. Very convenient for transport to airport, old town and full transport system. Superb food at 'locals' bavarian restaurant within 5 minutes walk.

I have stayed here previously and it is really good. This time however I was a little dsappointed that the remote door access wasn't working meaning a long walk to the Marriott reception every day. Also there was no television for my entire stay which for the cost of the room was poor. I will stay again though as it was clean and spacious.and breakfast was good.

Great stay in Munich
We were a couple with two small kids. Very confortable room, the kitchen to prepare baby meals was great. Breakfast was good and with a lot of options. Hygienic rules were in place. Parking next door. We probably will stay again next time in Munich.

The hotel was under renovations and it will look great in the near future. There were no disturbances at all during our stay that would interfere with us. Furniture moved around, workers on-site, expected for a renovation of that caliber. The rest of the amenities including the room did not get affect us.

We stayed for a few days around New Years. The heating was not working and we changed room twice. Every time we asked the staff to confirm that the heating in the new room was working. And every time they said that it was, but the heating was not working. The hotel manager told my partner that we will get a refund for the stay and we never got our money back!

Best Family Hotel
It was wonderful! The kids and I had the best breakfast in the mornings. It was great how close it was to the train station. Very friendly staff. We will be coming back. Thank you for a great stay.

The heating in the room was inoperable and all the hotel offered was a space heater that was missing a wheel which could have been a safety hazard for our two small children. The shower in the room also had mildew and when we brought it up to the hotel they said no one was available to look at it. Needless to say no one ever showed up to look at the shower or at least clean it. Room always had a bad smell to it like bad plumbing something was overwhelming.

The rooms are much smaller than advertised. Photos are very misleading. I thought I paid for a suite and it was a normal, below average room. My heat was not not working. The gront desk said they would send a technician who never came. The solution was giving me a small space heater. Paid $260 for this terrible place!!! HOTEL IS OVERPRICED!! MISLEADING!

Nice large room, good location near the Ostbahnhof, excellent American breakfast buffet, very nice staff. This was the nicest room we have had in all of our trips to Germany. The only negative is that the standard internet should be much, much faster. It is only 630KB/s or 5 Mbit/s. (I am spoiled: I have 1 Gbit/s at my home in America.)
