A super nice hotel. High-end, yet away from the hub-bub of Octoberfest and the main squares of Munich. The S train (like the metro in most major US cities or the "L" in Chicago) is about three blocks away and can get you anywhere you need to go. The staff at the desk actually helped us plan the next phase of our trip...the train from Munich to Nuremburg. She booked the tickets for us and had us all set up. Was mostly quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again. It deserves it's high rating.

The hotel staff was cheerful and very helpful. I was determined to speak German while there, and they were very patient with me and didn't take the easy route of switching into English. Breakfast was always well stocked - a very simple European fare, but it was always a nice start to the morning.
The outside terrace restaurant was beautiful, the food good, and portions large. While the food was good, it wasn't great.
I found parking very easy. The Biergarten across the street was a daily routine for me, and they were also very friendly. Overall, a VERY good experience. I would stay here anytime I visit Munich (the S Bahn was very easy to get to, and I left my car parked in Aying when visiting the city).
I stayed in the cheaper 2nd floor rooms, and was quite content. I imagine splurging for a 1st floor room, or a room in the Herrenhaus would be even nicer.

We had a wonderful stay in munchen palace hotel in Munich. Beautiful room, helpful staff. Location was perfect. A little outside of centre which made it quiet. However the distance is walkable with the luxury of very handy public transport if feeling lazy.
The breakfast at this hotel is the best we have ever had anywhere. Very expensive if not included in room rate so get it if you can. If not treat yourself to it at least on one morning - worth every cent.high standards all the way.

Close to central rail station, walking distance to Marienplatz...perfect. Staff lovely....very welcoming whether checking in, breakfasting or having a cocktail in the evening. Nothing too much trouble. Room was spotless and bed super-comfy. Only stayed 2 nights, wish we were staying longer. Not the cheapest but fantastic value for money.
