A good base for a visit to Munich without entering the city. Not too far from a metro station, easy parking and dog friendly.

University DORM not 4 star
Beware this is not 4 star this is university dormtories and you have to walk in the cold to two buildings to the cold pool one bed wahalf a couch and thin matress service cold

Very basic hotel, far from downtown Munich, even farther from the airport. The breakfast buffet was alright, but they don't replenish main items (i.e., eggs) quickly.

In a nice quiet area but not too far from the Ubahn & from there not too far from Munich City centre. I enjoyed a swim in the pool every morning. The staff were always friendly & helpful.

The pool and sauna were great, as was the very good breakfast. The fitness centre was a little tired. The staff were lovely. The rooms were very hot without air conditioning, especially as we had a room at the front which was very sunny. It was also noisy when people were returning from a night out, but that was likely because we were right above the entrance with our windows wide open trying to get cool.

Great hotel walking distance to the underground. Amazing free breakfast buffet with some unique items that were fun to try. Quiet area and free parking for a reasonable price.

Hotel rating as 4 stars hotel! I think two stars is enough. Doesn’t worth the price. They don’t use smart key for hotel rooms. Front desk ask me to fill out the company address because not allowed for staying at hotel for vacation only for business reason! The only benefit is the parking is free

Its okay but dated. No air conditioning in the rooms, restaurant and bar are disappointing, although the food is good, the place is poor. And its in the middle of an Industrial area so if you want to go out for a drink or something you have at least a 20 minute walk, or you have to drive. Cant understand how it made 4 stars really....

All staff members were extremely nice and helpful and the hotel had that family-run feel. The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner. We appreciated the shuttle service to the train and underground stations. If we come to Munich again, this is where we'd stay.

Great value for money
On arrival late in the evening, the front desk were extremely helpful in getting us checked in and explaining about the hotel services and facilities. We had a slight issue on arrival in that one of the rooms had been set up for one person and the other was not as clean as we would have expected (bathroom). The night desk was extremely helpful and sorted the issues immediately. Mention was made that the new housekeeping service were not living up to the expected standards. As a location to jump into the city, they offered a free shuttle to the local metro station, however we used Uber through out our trip. Note - Ubers are cheaper by 30% when compared to metered taxi's. The day staff on the desk and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful with no question to difficult. The facilities included a gym which was well organised. The sauna was not available when we looked to use the facilities and the pool was very cold even though we were informed it was supposed to be 28c. Overall, the Hotel Am Moosfeld feels like an older hotel that has had a recent refit to the bathrooms and bedrooms, however, the rest of the public places needed to be lifted to give a more modern feel. Highly recommended for the rooms, staff and food (breakfast and dinner were awesome). The location detracts but this is made up in how reasonable the room rates were.

The parking was inconvenient rooms are old. You have to leave the room to go to the lobby, if you need anything if your in a guesthouse like I was. No elevator and the gym is separately attached.

Everything about this hotel was very nice! Staff, food, Cleanliness. Only downfall about this location is how far you have to walk to get to the train station. Other then that this place gets and A+ rating!!!! Would go back again.

The hotel was very clean and spacious. There were plenty of amenities and the food was really good. The only downfall is that the closest U and S train were over a half mile walk, which is not bad, but sucks when hauling a bunch of luggage. Other then that, I have no complaints about the hotel or the service I received. I would stay there again.

This is a nice Quiet area and a very nice place to walk around in. The pool was very nice located in one of the two guest houses they have. Breakfast for us was included and there was a lot of food to pick from very delicious. Beautiful view of the street sunset

On arrival we were not sure about the location of the hotel but were soon happy due to the close location of the U bahn station which took 20 minutes to Munich centre. Facilities are excellent with very friendly helpful staff. Would stay again

The property is a great deal as along as you don’t mind staying outside the city center. Location is nice and quiet, it’s close to the underground station (about a 5 min walk), and free parking is provided. It takes about 15-20 mins to get to city center by train, very easy. Breakfast buffet was perfect with many options and pleasant staff. Room was clean and spacious, and bed was comfortable. Overall an excellent experience, would definitely stay here again for future visits.

Good and Calm Stay
Overall I am satisfied with my stay here. The room is clean. The hotel staffs are kind and the hotel restaurant serves the good meal. If you go one stop by U-bahn, there is a big shopping mall, while it is slightly far from the major tourism attractions (but you can easily get them by subway). The hotel also provides the shuttle to the S-bahn station (S8), which is connected to the Munich International Airport. If you want to take a rest calmly, I think this hotel is good choice.

Great place and good price. Good breakfast. Metro station is to far for the cold months to walk. Uber to downtown is better deal than Taxi, about 16 euros one way.
