“An excellent base to explore from.”

A characterful and history-rich hotel run by friendly and helpful staff. A great variety of foods at breakfast and dinner, which were consistently of a high standard. Vegetarians would have no problem dining here, with plenty of options available. Rooms were clean; views from the balcony were amazing. The only complaint: no complimentary tea/coffee - even though a kettle is provided!

“Easy walk from train station”

This hotel is also partly an RCI resort. It had fabulous views. Rooms were modern decor with nice Euro bathroom. Great tub. Refrig/ coffeemaker & tea service complete with China. Balcony seating was small but adequate. Breakfast was lovely. This is a small uphill walk from the train station 1/2 block. Opposite end of town from Gondola but next to sports arena and ice station.

“Solid Choice”

We visited the Alpin Palace for just one night in October which was off season for Murren and the town happened to be fogged in. The hotel was everything I expected. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was good and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I think we would also have had a great view if the weather had been better. I would stay here again.

“Great location, decent rooms”

The Alpin Palace Hotel is perfectly located steps up the hill from the Murren train station. The external appearance and lobby are nice, but the rooms and hallways are a bit tired. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is very close to an ice skating rink, recreational facilities and a short walk/ski to the funicular lift. The restaurant had reasonable food but lacks atmosphere.
