Nestled among evergreens in the Mount Hood area, this 300-acre resort features a championship 27-hole golf course and an 18-hole putting green. An outdoor pool is open seasonally, but its adjacent spa tub is available year-round for relaxation after skiing or hiking. Other recreation options include regulation croquet and lawn bowling courts, a fitness center, 4 tennis courts, and a full-service health spa. Altitude restaurant serves contemporary cuisine with regionally sourced ingredients, while the family-friendly Mallards café and pub is open seasonally. Meeting and event facilities accommodate groups from 5 to 750, with a business center and wireless and wired high-speed Internet access available. Ski shuttles and ski storage are provided. The Resort at The Mountain is entirely smoke-free.

The Resort at The Mountain offers 157 non-smoking guestrooms, all featuring balconies or patios and wireless and wired Internet access. Beds have memory-foam mattresses and luxury linens. 42-inch wall-mounted plasma HDTVs include cable channels. Bathrooms offer rainfall showerheads, bathrobes, hair dryers, and designer toiletries. CD players and alarm clocks with iPod docking stations are provided. Rooms also have refrigerators and coffee/tea makers. In-room safes accommodate laptops. Pets are accepted only in certain room types.

Dining
Altitude restaurant - Contemporary cuisine with global influences, offering casual upscale dining. Locally and regionally sourced ingredients. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Altitude lounge - Wine, cocktails, and small plates. Happy-hour specials. Open from late afternoon until late evening.
Mallards - Family-friendly café and pub. Children's menu. Open in spring/summer only.
Wee Bite - Light snacks for purchase next to the 19th green.

Recreation
In addition to the resort's 27-hole championship golf course and 18-hole lighted putting green, guests enjoy a seasonal outdoor pool with a year-round spa tub. 4 tennis courts, sand volleyball, badminton, a children's playground, and regulation croquet and lawn bowling courts are available. A fitness center provides cardio and strength-training equipment. Equipment for many activities is included in the daily resort fee. Bicycles are complimentary for guest use. Area activities include hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, rafting, and horse riding.

Spa
With 7 treatment rooms, the 3,500-square-foot Spa offers a range of treatments inspired by indigenous cultures and using local ingredients such as plant extracts and Salmon River rocks. Beauty treatments include Dr. Alkaitis products, and the Spa offers special programs such as the Bridal Boot Camp.

“WOW!”
Best of everything - big room, big shower, free golf, putting course, fishing, bikes, trails, entertainment (when we were there, they were breaking down something from weekend) , 20 mins from Timberline w/skiing.... would have been absolutely perfect if added free breakfast & a 2nd jacuzzi (it was full all night). Going back for a week next time.
“A nice short-term get-a-way for me and my wife”
The hotel is going through a transformation but it will be finished soon. The forest is gorgeous and it is very quiet. Nice.
“The resort at the mountain was fantastic!”
After traveling all night we arrived to what looked to be a secluded resort ( which right away looked up to the 4 stars it boasted ) I was very pleased that the 24 hour front desk was - in fact available and speedy. The room was perfect - right down to the amazing bathrobes! The morning showed that we were in fact in nestled in beautiful country but also close to restaurants, shopping and gas stations! We plan on returning as soon as possible!

The resort is quiet, surrounded by a beautiful park. The food at the restaurant is amazing, especially breakfast.
“Nice get away!”
We went in off-season (October) so hotel was pretty empty - but good for us. Beautiful setting tucked back in the woods, friendly staff, excellent food and service for not a lot of money at both hotel restaurants located on site. Three very nice golf courses also affiliated/located by hotel are also priced very affordably. We went for a hike recommended by our waiter at the hotel restaurant to see local waterfall and were not disappointed! Overall a 5-star hotel experience at a 3-star price. Would strongly recommend - and we will be back!
“Fantastic Deal”
We were very pleased with the Resort at the Mountain. The rates were very reasonable, the room was clean and stylish, and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the location and setting, and appreciated the recreational opportunities from the free mini putting green to play as a family to the organized hikes and smores over the fire in the evening.
“A Great Place”
The Resort at The Mountain in Welsches, Or was a delightful surprise. The hotel staff were very plesant and accommodating. The room was spacious, immaculate and most comfortable. We hated to leave the next morning. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will certainly stay there again.
“Nice hotel near Mt. Hood, OR”
We stayed at the Resort at the Mountain in Feb, with the idea of skiing up at Mt. hood for a few days. After a hard day on the mountain we drove back down to the hotel (about 20 minutes from the summit). The hotel was very nice and the room was appointed quite well. It was very comfortable room with a nice shower and a comfortable bed. There isn't a lot of dining options around the area, but the restaurant at the hotel was pretty good. All in all a good stay, and I will likely be back the next time I am up boarding at Mt. Hood.
“Lovely!!!”
We were pleasantly surprized at the grounds and quality of the room. We really didn't expect a place this nice way out in the "sticks". It's like a little Eden. The golf course restaurant across the street is excellent. Also, it's convient to Mt. Hood and various activities. Just watch out for the pines dripping pitch when you park your car. Take the one and a half mile (3miles round trip) Mirror Lake hike...allow three hours and be sure to take a camera and water (lunch?).
