Needs More Plugs

Posted 18-Jun-2015
We had heard of this hotel from friends and it lived up to their comments. Thanks to Expedia we got a great rate. The only things that we had a problem with was the lack of plugs for our many chargers and the rather poor quality of the towels.

Duas noites muito bem dormidas

Posted 15-Jun-2015

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: Lage und Preis
Cons: Toaster/bessere Klimaanlagen

Great experience

Posted 8-Mar-2015 on Hotels
What an extremely comfortable and safe hotel. It was affordable with luxury features such as the pool, bar and restaurant. It was convenient with the shopping mall within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful and room service was prompt. I felt very safe with the security and High fences. The cats roaming around gave a homely feel haha! Overall is was a great accommodation experience and if ever I was in South Africa again I would stay there. John

Fair

Posted 24-Feb-2015 on Hotels
The rooms are too dry, all my family members get seek after two nights of stay. The air conditioner is beside the bed and cannot be switched on. The AC is noising, poor operating and outdated style. My neighbours were coughing all night long presumable because of the condition of the AC. I recommend the managers to improve the units.

Service Bad Enough, It's Funny

Posted 19-Jan-2015 on Hotels
For 2 nights, I booked 2 rooms (509 and 511). When I needed my daughter next door, I had to step out and knock, because the phone in my room didn't work. From Monday, when I checked in, to Wed, when I checked out, I made a point of reporting the problem at least once a day, pointing out each time that it was indeed due to the very problem at hand that I had to walk to the front desk - rather than, say, call - to report it. The very first time, the clerk smiled and so unconvincingly said it would be taken care of, I was tempted to shoot back, Dahlin', you don't have to say it, if you don't believe it. Then there was that bartender... I ordered ice-cream at the bar...I know, I know, ice-cream at the bar, I was looking for it, but he did hand me a bar menu, and it listed ice-cream. After 20 minutes had passed since he left (presumably to fetch the ice scream I asked for), I figured I'd go check in the direction he headed through the lobby toward the restaurant (about 30-40 meters away). Halfway, I meet up with him on his way back, whereupon he hands me a bowl of ice cream with a dirty spoon wrapped in a cloth napkin: "Oh, here," he says as he hands me the order (both of us standing smack in the middle of the lobby). I was too busy laughing to notice in what direction he disappeared, in an eye blink. This place is supposedly a 3-star hotel across the street for a shiny mall, not by a highway, but it's altogether a first-rate truck-stop motel.

Spacious and convenient-bad in the summer

Posted 16-Jan-2015
Pros: The rooms are, on a square footage/meter basis, the BEST deal in Nelspruit. They also have a great pool!
Cons: THE AIR CONDITIONING.
Location: I'langa mall is right across the street. You do not hear street noise. Easy parking right in front of the room (almost always). Close to hospital.
I have stayed here on many occasions, so I have a lot of experience in different kinds of rooms. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the beds and very comfortable. However, they have the worst air conditioning system I've ever experienced. For one, the 2-bedroom suites have NO air conditioning in the smaller room. No ceiling fans either, in any of the rooms. The air conditioner in the rooms seems like an old-school hotel air con, but they are new. Sometimes, the remotes are hard tooperate. In my most recent room, it kept turning off every 45 minutes to 2 hours, but I could re-start if I flipped the switch. This is not the first time we've had a horrible broken air con experience. On my recent stay, it got no cooler than 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the room! It was horrible. When you complain to the front desk, they may move you at night, if there is a room available. But, who wants to move when you have a 7-year old and it's raining outside?? So, TL; DR, it's hot in the summer, better during other times of the year.
