“Fantastic”
One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Beautiful setting in the mountains. Bed comfy. Room clean and spacious. Restaurant on property across the street from the rooms had great view and good food at decent price. Hiking trails a short distance from your door. My new favorite place to stay in Mt Shasta.
“People Power”
My only comment is: The women at the front desk seemed a tad under trained and the bar- tender in the lounge had the personallity of a statue. Other than that all was well.
“Beautiful View - Okay Service.”
The resort has an extraordinary view of the mountain, which received its first snow of the season the day after we arrived. The cabin could have more ambience, but it was functional and clean. Upon reviewing the hotel information binder, I was struck by how many opportunities there were for extra charges - for late check-out, for a split-plate charge in a restaurant that had just one other table in it when we ate. We had committed to the three-night minimum, but occupancy was far from 100%. We were there for a special party which was scheduled on the last night of our stay, and our banquet server watched me change the toilet paper roll in the bathroom stall while she talked on her cell phone. Our breakfast server, although delightful, was equally unsupervised. I finally invited a couple who had been "waiting to be seated" for more than 10 minutes to grab some menus and seat themselves. The two servers on staff then removed themselves from the lounge with the television and one of them began helping them. They were very pleasant, but not as vigilant as they should have been.
“Cottage in woods.”
The lodging is not located where you check in. However, the cottage was easily located. Ate supper at the lodge. The food was okay. The cottage was wonderful. The rooms were decorated nicely.
“Romantic Anniversary”
My husband and I stayed at Mt Shast Resort for our 40th anniversary. The room was beautiful and the setting was amazing. there was a nice trail that had beautiful views of Mt Shasta and surounding mountains. It made a memorable weekend.I would recomend this resort to everyone.
