“Comfortable Stay”

The hotel is well kept and very clean. Employees were friendly, and all accomodations were good. Not a top notch hotel, but somewhere we would stay again if headed that way.

Staff was consistently friendly. Free breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausages, juices, coffees, a waffle maker, fresh fruits and breads available. Clean.

The Hotel was convenient to Custer State Park and the Mammoth Site. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Saw Deer in the back of hotel wooded area.

“Not up to Expectation”

First impressions are everything, right? To begin our stay, the desk staff was busy in the back on the phone and had to be interrupted to check us in. He didn't seem to thrilled at the burden. Our room keys stopped working the last day, so he apparently didn't even program the right check out day in them. Next, the room was not very comfortably furnished, with one tiny desk jammed in the corner where you could hardly back the chair out without hitting against the TV cabinet. Not even a comfortable chair to sit on for watching TV, just a small desk-type chair. The bed pillows were more like throw pillows. On to the breakfast: two kids running the kitchen? COME ON! Almost everything I looked at was empty. Asked for more eggs and the container of egg mix was still frozen...great planning for a busy Sunday breakfast crowd...NOT!. The next two days they served only biscuits and gravy. Sorry, but breakfast should be more than carbs and fat. The last day we went out for some real food. I do want to compliment the cleanliness of the facility. The dining room and pool area were clean, as was the room. The location was convenient, right on the main drag in Custer.
