“Good place to stay”

The hotel itself was even better than expected. Good rooms, coffee machines, very nice people and wonderful views. The main problem was in finding hotel - especially in darkness - probably having directions and map with location could be very helpful

“very nice getaway”

The Resort on Mt Charleston was a very pleasant opportunity to get out of Vegas for the weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews I had read. I need not have worried. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The hotel and my room were clean and in good condition. The flat screen TV had a built-in DVD player and a card reader which allowed me to view the pictures I took every day. The only drawback I perceived was the fact that there is only 1 restaurant and a bar. While they were not overly expensive ($12+ average entrees), there was no cheap food alternative. My overall experience was very good, and I will be returning for future stays.

“Great getaway!”

We enjoyed this hotel. Everyone was very nice. We asked for an extra chair for the room and it was delivered immediately. We kept the bathroom fan on while we slept (because of other people's reviews) and we slept undisturbed. Great view of the countryside from our window. Sound insulation was good as we did not hear the music that was playing out front. DVD player worked well (we brought our own dvds); the television worked great; we enjoyed sitting outside and reading a book during the afternoon. Breakfast the day we left was delicious with large portions and fresh blueberries and strawberries. The rate we had through Expedia was excellent. We enjoyed the getaway.

“fresh air”

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for somewhere near Las Vegas that doesn't emphasize gambling. It's a non-smoking hotel with great views, fresh air, and is completely different from the usual Vegas tourist traps. Definitely worth a half hour detour from the I-15 if you need to relax overnight during a long drive. Looking forward to returning!

“A nice quiet get-away”

If you like to hike and are looking for peace and quiet, this place is great! It has a nice rustic feel. It's a bit remote with not a lot to do for children or non-nature types.

“Wonderful mountain retreat”

The food was fantastic! They set up the conference room, arranged all the meals, basically took very good care of us. All arrangements went off without a hitch. Kudos to Gina and all the staff. And an awesome job was done by the chefs in "The Cut Above". The service there was also great. Not too far from Vegas, but a wonderful retreat in the mountains. Nice lodge feel.

“Over and above”

It was off the strip... was there for a wedding. It couldn't have been more perfect for me. Didn't go there to gamble. The staff was just super. Kind and always looking to serve my needs. I loved being up in the mountains with the crisp morning air and beautiful scenery.

“decent hotel good value”

Hotel is not too fancy but reasonably clean has a nice pond and windows in the room do open which is much better compared to many hotels in Vegas.
