Great stay, absolutely recommended
Amazing. Booked at 8pm with about 2h still to drive, arrived just before 19pm (reception closes at 10pm). Got the room, got the EV car on the charger, got a bow for the doggie and all went perfectly fine.

Peace and quite
We spent 3 nights here and right from the start found the staff to be friendly and very willing to help. The room was clean and well set out with plenty of room. The location is great for peace and quite. Its only 10 minute walk to town through a lovely wooded area or some stairs further on if you dont want to walk the trails. The only draw back we found in the room was no ability to make a coffee or tea in the room other than that we enjoyed our stay. We would easily stay here again.

Comfortable stop over
An ideal stop over on our way to the ferry. The hotel was welcoming and comfortable and very peaceful. It was a pleasant walk into the town to stretch legs after a day in a car. The restaurant was adequate but a little disappointing but we put this down to it being the (very) low season.

The location of the property is nice as it is close enough to walk into the city, but outside enough to enjoy the country's vineyards. Great area if you like walking and enjoying the outdoors.

Our stay was OK. Hotel basic and a bit dated, showers tiny. Spiders everywhere in the room (but probably just due to the time of year). The staff were very friendly, however. No real issues as such, but not our favourite stop on our trip through Europe and we would probably choose a different hotel next time.

On arrival we weren’t sure what to make of this hotel in a rural setting. But our room was very large, quiet and comfortable. We ate in the associated restaurant, incongruously built above the castle ruins. We were only staying one night, and we’re very happy with our stay.

Being located under the roof, the room did feel a little small. We did not find the elevator so we carried our luggage upstairs, which was slightly inconvenient.

Hill top situation
Chosen as it was convenient for parking on our way home for an overnight stay. The hotel is clean and the staff welcoming. Our room was a little old fashioned but was spacious and a comfortable bed, seating area, TV and a coffee maker. The breakfast was an excellent buffet in the German style. It has a lot of available free parking. Reached by road it's positioned on a hill overlooking the town. If you are reasonably fit you can as we did walk down some steps into town to explore the attractive old town - 10 minutes. The hotel serves breakfast and recommends the close by cliff top neighbouring restaurant built on the ruins of an old Schloss with incredible views about 5 minutes level walk.

Countryside hotel overlooking beautiful valley
This hotel is on the top of a small mountain and has a related restaurant with a great view over the city and aldstadt. Great place for relaxing stay

Great location. Quiet. Close to everything.
The hotel is up on a hill over town. It's easy to walk down to the bars and restaurants about 700m away. If I have a complaint, it's that Germans love split mattresses and tiny blankets. It's no wonder the population is declining. If you like your partner you have to make the best of it - not a problem with the hotel - just a cultural beef - and I'm a German living in Canada... The food in the restaurant down the road at the castle is great - same owners. This is more of a small local place frequented more by Germans than by tourists. It would be great for tourism because it's in the heart of wine country with gorgeous vistas of the hills and vines. We went for long walks in the evenings in fresh air and countryside but minutes outside town.

Very good hotel in a great location, the only recommendation I'd give is that they should offer a small bar snack menu for those who don't fancy the walk to the restaurant - although it's a nice walk and a great restaurant

Kauzenburg Stay
The hotel is nice and the restaurant is wonderful. The hotel staff was very curteous and helpful. The locations was on a hill top overlooking the city.

Four nights of comfort for our retirement trip
From this hotel, we cruised the Rhine, both by boat and car, and went to Mainz to the Guttenberg Museum. The hotel staff was awesome. They were very helpful and worked very hard to use their English since our German was seriously lacking. Their recommendations for restaurants were spot-on. Their breakfast was the best in our 26 days of travel. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious. We definitely would stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

I would recommend this hotel. It is comfortable, the staff is very responsive and the nearby restaurant has spectacular views. A must in Bad Kreuznach.

Great place to stay if you don't mind a walk
First of all, don't expect an American hotel, it is a German hotel. The room was small but spacious enough, the bathroom was tiny, but well equipped. There was no A/C in my room, but the weather was nice so that was ok. The location of the hotel is beautiful, up on the hillside in the vineyards. The photos are a little confusing, there are actually two buildings ~0.25 miles apart, one is the hotel (yellow building), the other is the castle ruins and restaurant. There is a path that leads into town and it is a nice walk, I will probably stay again.

Lovely hotel - if you have a car
The hotel was clean and the room was a good size. The double bed was 2 singles put together, but they were of a good size and the room was warm ( we stayed in the hotel in November). The buffet breakfast was fine for us - cereals, meats & cheeses, breads, toast, yogurts, boiled eggs etc and the young girl serving was very helpful (especially as we don't speak German). Would recommend you need a car to visit this hotel. We were visiting our daughter who is working in the town for a few months and it was a long walk uphill to get to the hotel from Bad Kreuznach although it did only take 10-15 mins (think step areobics). The restaurant is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. We arrived late on Sunday afternoon and there was no lighting between the restaurant and the hotel which was a bit daunting as it was very dark. The en suite had a bath and a good powerful shower. There was complimentary water in the room, an expresso machine and a fridge (although you had to contact reception if you wanted the fridge stocked). There is a very small bar in the hotel (but we didn't see anyone in it), Would receommend Bella Italia and Mandarin Chinese restaurants to eat in Bad Kreuznach as we had a great meal in both.

Its a nice and quiet place. The rooms big enough. But the bathroom very small and not quiet aave for older people. Stepping into the shower is a risk for falling. Stepping out of the shower even more. The sauna was not active.

Ich habe zum dritten Mal, einen Kurzurlaub in diesem Hotel gemacht und war auch diesmal, wieder sehr zufrieden! Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, freundliches Personal und sehr sauber! Leider gibt es keinen Fahrstuhl und somit, für gehbehinderte Personen, nicht geeignet!
