“NOT A HOTEL!”

This is NOT a hotel it is an apartment rental. The care taker speaks no english, you need extra money to have them register you, as in all stays in Russia, here it is an extra cost. The location is great right next to the metro. Take the metro, you need special skills to take a taxi, they pick a price you have to work them down or be taken for a ride in the cash department. The metro is fast CLEAN and fairly safe. Take a language guide, in Moscow there is little to no western writing and the crylic is hard to make out. This is NOT for a tourist, but travelors will do fairly well. Cleaning cost is extra, clean it your self. there is a washer, no dryer, a full kitchen and it is very secure. Also do not let the lobby turn you off, the room is GREAT! the bed is ok, and the location, again is stellar.

“Never again !!”

This is not a hotel , it is a residential building in which one apartment has been prepared for renting, therefore there is no reception, no security, no room service, no telephone!! The building looks to be more than 100 years old with little maintenance and housekeeping.The entrance looks like you are entering a prison. I don't know who rated this place as four star , even one star is too many!!! I booked this pllace for 7 nights but left after the first night and requetsd my money back, but the owner said the money was non-refundable, I compalined to Expedia and they refunded the money (thanks Expedia).You will be charged 10% extra if you pay by credit card, so pay cash only. The location is close to Metro and Railway station and there are a few shops close by.I would recomend this place only if you speak Russian and familiar with the country, otherwise you will have lots of problems living in this apartment on your own.
