“HOTEL HISTORIQUE A MOSCOU”
cet hotel etait l equivalent du RITZ dans les annees 80 du fait de la concurrence des nouveaux hotels LOTTE RITZ CARLTON plus modernes et plus luxueux il ne recoit plus les clients 5Stars et est trop cher pour les touristes prix expedia compris taxes et petit dejeuner etait un beau cadeau d expedia j'espere que j aurai le meme prix en septembre et en fevrier le petit dej en 1980 etait mieux (caviar saumon blinis ect) mais pour moins cher que le novotel que demander de mieux
“Très bon hotel historique, dans le coeur de Moscou”
Un des hotels les mieux situés à Moscou, à 50 m de la Place Rouge. Salle de restaurant magnifique (grande coupole), petit déjeuner somptueux (qualité, choix, joueuse de harpe pendant le petit dej...). Personnel très attentionné et compétent. Cahmbre très confortable. Seuls bémols: le prix de "extras", un peu élevé au regard du prix de la chambre (notamment le taxi aeroport/hotel) et la salle de bain, qui pourrait être un peu rafraichie.
“Metropole , great location.”
We stayed at the Metropole be near the festivities of New Years and the start of the Russian winter holiday. The location is perfect !

“Beautiful Hotel that hasn't made the transition to capitalism”
Metropol is a great hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are big, the bathroom is luxurious and the location to Red Square is unbeatable . So why not give this hotel a five rating.. The staff. I can't complain about the maid, she truly was fantastic. The front desk seemed confused at times and the concierge was a concierge in name only. He couldn't help us with local issues, nor could he even recommend a restaurant that fit our request. Upon check out, nobody, except the concierge was available and when they finally found someone, they tried to overcharge us. Fortunately we caught this error and was able to correct prior to leaving. If you are able to get a buy on this hotel, I would take advantage of it, but dollar for dollar I would explore the other five star hotels in the area.
“Great Hotel - Fix Internet”
It is a great hotel, friendly staff, and great location. This was my 4th stay there and so I obviously find it a good choice. I do however struggle with accepting that in this time and age and with such a hotel that internet is an issue there. They really need to fix this and have it accessible in all rooms. For some reason it is only accessible on the second floor and in the lobby area - it is free so this is a plus but really get internet access in the rooms.
“Perfect Location with Russian style service”
It is a great hotel in a superb spot with lots of history. The staff offers typical russian bad service. So it is a good cultural experience. Great hotel, perfect location and bad service russian style. Very good experience!
“Perfect for Red Square”
The hotel was well maintained with a look of grandeur especially in the reception, bar and restaurant area. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Not speaking Russian was no problem. The concierge was always helpful and booking a car for the return to the airport was very simple. I have stayed there twice over the last month and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in central Moscow.
“Convenient location, nice but not luxe”
This is a great location to see all the bik Moscow sights. While it is certainly a nice enough hotel, it is not luxe. The desk service was all but useless if you actually needed anything, like more water or basic forgotten supplies.
“Not Exactly What I Expected”
For years I have walked by this hotel on visits to Moscow and envied staying in it. And then I had a chance to do it. This is a vainglorious hotel, maybe a bit past its prime, but perfectly located. An older hotel (which I generally prefer) that has a presence that is engaging until you remember the cost. If we ignore the room rates for a moment, the hotel definitely has its charms and wonderfully engaging idiosyncracies. The rooms and hallways are huge, but perhaps consumptuously bland and lonely. But the decoration and furnishings in the lobbies on each floor are outstanding. The artwork throughout the hotel and the architectural flourishes are terrific and contribute to the general atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel has a wonderfully historic atmosphere about it. The service is outstanding, but you are always reminded that you are their guest, which I suppose is okay. Again, you can't beat the location.
