Well we were not told they were under renovations before we booked. Had to use public beach access . Housekeeping opened the door to our room the morning of check out at 8 am. Rude! Then knocked on our door again at 9:30. Damn give us a chance the room was ours till 11am

The beach was nearby and that was a big plus! Also we paid 172.00 a night and breakfast was not free. There should have been complimentary breakfast. Also people cleaning windows near the room which was not good. Also the elevators were not working. Other than that everything was good and we are planning to come back.

Location was very good! However they were having construction on outside on walls widows during are stay noise early morning.Also problem with shower drain.Informed desk said they have some body check in to it. Day later still standing water in shower.

We had no idea construction was happening. Early morning drilling woke us right up. The air conditioning unit was very loud when it came on. The drain in the tub was very slow.

Front desk staff was more interested in talking with other staff about their day then checking me in left the desk had to go back to ask what room to go to I told them at check-in I wanted no housekeeping the very first morning I was there made Knox walks in I'm not even dressed then on top of that one whole day of my stay I listen to a dog bark all day across the hall from my room when I approached the front desk about it the front desk employee Melissa was excellent could not ask for any better while I was discussing the dog and other issues with her the manager who I later found out was the manager came up behind her never spoke to me never apologized never anything and I have messages that he messaged me while I was in my room as if it were my fault for wanting customer service then he wanted to move my room because of the barking dog it was not my place to change rooms when I was not the problem he gave me a breakfast voucher which I declined I had to leave at 5:00 in the morning before the breakfast started he wanted to give me a dinner voucher I had dinner plans finally I told Melissa the front desk associate that I felt $50 off my room was appropriate the manager finally did that but never once did he speak with me face to face and I have messages if anyone would like me to send them to you will not stay at this property again thank you very much

Unfortunately, the information provided is inaccurate. It was another member of our management team that offered to move you to another room. You declined stating that you should not have to be inconvenienced due to anther guest's barking dog. She apologized again and offered the breakfast vouchers. The manager did in fact apologize to you. He came out while you were "talking very loudly" to the front desk agent. He waited several minutes after he apologized unfortunately to see what he could do to make it right for you. When the conversation with Melissa did not stop, he stated he was going in the back to print off Dinner Vouchers as you stated that you were leaving at 530am (not 500am as stated in these comments). When I returned to the desk, you were already in the elevator still being heard in the lobby. That is when you were addressed in Kipsu. It was during another conversation that you had with Melissa when you stated that yeo just wanted some money off your room. This was a wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room itself, pool and gym were all very clean. I would definitely stay there again.

The overall experience was enjoyable; however, a drawback was the unexpected fishing restriction on the pier, especially considering the pier on the property was a factor for me choosing this location. Prior knowledge of this restriction would have spared me from bringing unnecessary fishing gear. Nevertheless, I had a positive experience and intend to return in the future.

Thank you for the terrific review. Fishing restrictions were put in place several years ago by the ownership of the hotel for safety and security purposes. There is always fishing on the beach or on the sound.

The room was supposed to be partial oven view but when you are stuck looking at the roof of the restaurant you should not be. Charged for oven view when you can’t see the ocean. Also the shower rod was broken and needed replaced

Thank you for your review. Yes, your reservation was for2 Queen Beds, Balcony, Partial Ocean View, Non Smoking. Room 208 is considered partial ocean view. Maintenance has immediately replaced the shower rod in the bathroom.

The price was extremely high for pet stay for one night . The room you could barely see the ocean , and the restaurant was nice but the price was a bit high for buffet . Did enjoy the fact that was right on the beach .

This isn’t the Ritz Carlton, but it’s a very comfortable and accommodating place to stay. We love staying here with our Labrador, and the pool, pier, and beach are always clean and fun. We will continue to stay at this hotel as long as we visit Atlantic Beach. Looking forward to going back next summer!

First…a DoubleTree and no cookie? Then a pool that had not been cleaned for a while and not at all during the week we were there. No umbrellas or chairs on the beach after Labor Day.The day before the employee renting the chairs and umbrellas told me I could drag the chairs to the spot on the beach. There was minimal space because he couldn’t go past a certain line because he couldn’t walk that far. Maybe 10 umbrellas on the front row then people stacked up behind them. No umbrellas at pool except 3 at tables. No cleaning of rooms until 5th day. Asked housekeeping if I could have extra towels on 3rd day and she rolled her eyes and huffed. I asked if there was a problem and she stomped to her cart to get the linens and garbage bags I also needed. Does dog friendly mean Great Danes and other large dogs everywhere and barking like crazy in the rooms? For $400 a night with taxes I expected more especially after Labor Day.

As explained earlier, beach chairs and umbrellas are available daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. After Labor Day, the availability is limited to weekends through September. This was clearly explained as well by the beach attendant. As a brand, Hilton offers complimentary housekeeping service per request only. Yes, the hotel is pet friendly and we see furry friends of all sizes. Have a wonderful day.

The staff was extraordinarily fantastic. But I do think you need to upgrade the pillows in the rooms and also the toilet commodes. They need to be a little higher in the food in the restaurants at that great. But overall it was a nice stay.

I like that they had indoor and outdoor pools. The ocean front balconies are too small. Not enough seating provided by hotel on the beach. TV was huge. Bathroom was awkward. The breakfast bar was so average, it should have been complimentary. Its the only hotel if its kind in that area of the beach but i payed $422 for one night Ocean Front. I dont think it was worth it but i would stay there again, its the best you going to get in that area.
