Pleasant place in a good location
The front desk staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. My room was nice. There was no shower curtain, which I guess is ok. I just felt bad about splashing on the floor

Very good position in the with very good on site secure parking . Friendly staff , very clean and tidy hotel . Bedside lights didnt work in the bedroom but that didn’t spoil the overnight stay. Vannes is stunning but expensive to eat out . Would certainly recommend it .

Free parking easy walk into old part of Vannes. Clean and comfortable. Wouldn't bother with the €13 pp breakfast - walk round the corner to a cafe - but would happily stay here again.

Perfect Road Trip Stopover
A one night stop over while on a road trip. The hotel had everything we needed: a clean room, a comfortable bed and easy parking. We could walk to the center easily. The staff was super friendly too.

Excellent base for exploring area and old town
Stayed seven nights, twin room comfortable, nice bathroom. No air conditioning but big windows and good fan. Choice of full breakfast or express. Pleasant people at front desk. Excellent parking on property. Five minute walk to old town and Cathedral.

Great staff, close to everything, free parking.
Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean bed was comfortable. The area itself is boring, but it's a short walk to center of Vannes and it's not a large town, so while the hotel is a bit away rm the main attractions, it's all easily walkable. Also because it's slightly outside of the old town, it's quiet and there is a large free parking lot. Very good value for money.

Convenient in city center. Plenty of free parking. Strange room darkening system where you have to open the window/door and pull the outside doors shut. Ok if not raining but you will get wet or cold otherwise

Very convenient affordable hotel
Plenty of parking, walking distance from town centre , front desk staff gave us a useful map with recommended restaurants marked on it. Rooms very clean with large comfortable beds but strange green plastic floor covering. Complicated shower controls stiff to turn. Despite these very minor whinges a comfortable stay, perfect for town centre and would definitely use hotel again.

Second visit will be back
We visited this hotel in September as part of a package break and found it to be in an excellent position for walking to the centre of Vannes with the addition of secure free parking. Having decided to stay in Vannes as part of a longer independent trip we booked one night at another hotel with the intention of a 2 night stay on our return. We were so disappointed with the other hotel we cancelled our return booking and rebooked at the Marebaudiere and would not stay anywhere else when we next visit Vannes. The staff are lovely,very helpful with requests for restaurant reservations and places to visit. The free parking is a big plus as parking in Vannes is a nightmare and from the hotel it is a pleasant walk to all the main attractions. Only negative is the expensive breakfast which seems to be a common complaint. On our previous visit it was included in the package this time we didn't bother and ate out. Otherwise a perfect place to stay and we can't wait for our next visit.

Only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Vannes. Very comfortable bed, clean , quiet room on the ground floor. Didn't bother with breakfast, a little expensive at €12 each. Much better to wander into the town and get coffee, orange juice, croissants, bread and butter, and jam for less than half that price! My only bugbear is the lighting in the room is a little dull when I was trying to apply makeup.....not a huge problem for everyone else! Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was ideal for our short trip to Vannes.
We found the hotel a bit difficult to find in the first place but looked inviting when we found it. It was in a quiet location but close to Vannes main town and about a ten minute walk to the harbour. The room was very pleasant and comfortable, ideal for our needs. Did not have breakfast at the hotel, instead we got fresh croissants daily from the bakery which was opposite the hotel. Free parking in a private large car park was also an advantage. Would definitely stay there again.

Good option with convenient secure parking
I really appreciated the flexibility shown by the hotel - I had to change the dates of my stay which they accommodated despite the original reservation being non transferrable. The hotel has been recently modernised and is nice throughout. It is quite a walk from the main sights of Vannes so you need to consider that, but on the plus side being on the outskirts it's very easy to find and has very good & secure parking.

Great Hotel for a base to visit the area.
Hotel La Marebaudiere Vannes The hotel was very good indeed, especially as a base for a short stay and made an excellent base from which to discover the area. The staff were very friendly, the room was modern and clean, with a comfortable bed, reasonjable bathroom/shower. The hotel has a large carpark which is secured at night, with an electronically controlled and monitored gate which is closed at 2200hrs each night, but is still accessible to patrons. Breakfast is served in a light and modern room and is very good. This hotel is ideal for a short break, while visiting the area. Vannes is a beautiful old town with very good facilities, restaurants and shopping etc. with wonderful old architecture.

A lovely hotel in a great location.
This is not 5* luxury, but it is an extremely nice hotel in easy walking distance to the centre of Vannes. If you look closely you can tell that the refurb has been done to a budget, but that is being very picky. On the whole the finish is superb. The rooms were very quiet, although a little warm even at New Year, and I couldn't figure how to cool them down more. If you're on the second floor be warned - the blackout blinds on the Velux windows are amazing... hence our getting up at 12:30 thinking it was still dark! All in all we had a lovely stay & would do so again. Tips: We spent New Year in A Tribord, and had a ball. Nothing really happened until 11:30 and by 3am the place was crammed. Great bar staff really made the party what it was. The next night we visited O Brother down by the water - another very welcoming & friendly bar.

Fantastic hotel compensates for weird neighbourhod
Firstly, the hotel is superb. It has just been renovated to a high standard and is positively luxurious when compared with other 3 star properties in the area. The hotel is good value for money, the rooms are fairly spacious (not huge but bigger than most) and the décor is original and in my opinion very attractive. Perhaps the one problem with the hotel is the location - it's ten minutes outside the old city walls of Vannes (on foot) in a, shall we say, less than prosperous neighbourhood. Although I'm sure the area isn't particularly dangerous, it gives off a weird, slightly unsettling vibe to guests, especially older people, as the most direct route to the hotel from the city includes passing some rather rough bars, an adult cinema, and a bunch of low-rent shops with strange unsavoury characters milling around outside. Again, it's not a 'scary' area, just ramshackle and depressing. The advantage of being outside the old city, however, is better value, space and quality for the money. The hotel is air conditioned (and the air conditioning actually works!), the free wi-fi works brilliantly and inside the room is a minibar that can also be used as a mini-fridge as billing is not automated on removal of items. The hotel has nice immediate surroundings, with gardens at the front and rear; but to be quite honest there really isn't much to look at whilst sat in them. The staff are friendly and the lobby is well-designed. One note I would add is that the hotel claims the rooms are 'soundproofed', I find this to be untrue - the sound from outside is muffled, but not entirely eliminated. Vannes is beautiful and the hotel is good value for money. But one must recognise prior to booking that it is ten minutes walk outside the city with nothing at all of note in-between. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable place to stay and I would recommend it to family and friends.

Bonne surprise! Les photos de l'hôtel ne sont pas valorisantes et l'hôtel semble avoir reçu un rafraichissement récent. La chambre était très agréable. Petit déjeuner correct mais un peu cher , on sent un effort pour mettre en avant quelques produits locaux. Parking gratuit avec possibilité de charge pour les véhicules électriques (en supplément). Bonne localisation près de la vieille ville
