“Good Montreal West Island Option”
Very convenient location for anyone visiting the west island. Also easy access to downtown. We stayed in a King Suite which offered great value and convenience. Our girls slept in the hide-a-bed which they reported "sagged toward the middle" but that was overlooked because we were so close to Fairwiew Mall!
“Clean and Comfortable Suites”
Hotel should be rated higher based on all counts.
“Hotel is fine restaurant not so much”
The Hotel itself was fine I was very happy with my room the maid service and the front desk people the restaurant inside the hotel however was a different story the waitress got my order wrong twice ( garden salad hold the green peppers and buffalo wings wrong sauce on the wings) not to mention it was kind of pricey for what they offered on the menu.
“Overpriced for what you get”
It was just "Ok"...hotel and room condition was fine although I was expecting a few more amenities in the suite, especially for the price. All the room had was a small "bar-buddy" and small sink! I was hoping to be able to make breakfast in my room. The hotel entrance is hard to navigate until you learn how to get in off the expressway. The internet service was way below par - they call it "high speed" but it was almost as slow as dial-up and I could not connect through my VPN. For the business traveller, you can do a LOT better for the your (or your company's) money.
“Airport Stay”
Good for an airport transfer
“Not impressed”
We checked in on the second floor non smoking room and the smell of smoke was unbeleivable! The bathtub had a black ring around...not good! We sleep one night and asked to be changed. They dis and the second room was similar but no smell of smoke and clean tub. The service downstair at Nickels is bad.
“Great hotel if the people in the next room do not have a dog”
Check in was fine and the room was fine, We found it hard to get to the hotel from the highway and spent ten minutes going around in circles. The only real complaint we had was something that perhaps the hotel could not control. People down the hall from us went out for the evening and left their dog in their room. The dog was unhappy and whined and barked for over three hours. We called the front desk and were told we were not the only people who were complaining and that their hands were tied as there was nothing they could do. We were not offered the opportunity to change rooms.
“Nothing too fancy, but a good rate and provided a place to stay”
Needed a place to stay near family and with the Expedia special rate I figured I'd try this place out. Don't expect a lot by this all suites hotel. The elevators seem to be from the 70's - take a long time to travel between floors. The room is nice, very clean. The sofabed - as a sofa - leaves something to be desired though as you couldn't sit on it as you sank to the bottom right away. The king size bed, is about the same way. Always started sinking downwards towards the middle of the bed. It is nice having 6 pillows on the bed, but having them *all* being the same type of pillow was a little surprising. Overall, I didn't spend much time in the room aside from sleeping, and I still got a good night sleep. Would recommend this hotel if you can get a better deal than their regular price.
“Not bad”
The location of hotel is close to all the resturants and mall. The rooms are good and the bed is comfortable.
“No explanation and excuse for the fault of fire alarm”
By the fault of fire alarm, we were waked up twice at 4:00am and 5:00am. Each time, we have to wait to repair it at out of the building. After that, there is no explanation and excuse to us. It seems it is a bad maintemance.
