“Gem in the heart of Montreal”

We had a really great stay at this small hotel. There are only 8 rooms, and ours was really comfortable. The whole thing has high ceilings, crown moldings, beautiful decor, and our room had a little balcony. The rooms all have a small but fully-equipped kitchenette, and ours was a suite with a separate bedroom and a little sitting area. The sofa was a hide-a-bed, but there was a cot in the room folded up in the closet--everything we needed. Downstairs is a Cora's restaurant. They aren't affiliated with the hotel, but it's a nice place to get breakfast or lunch, if you aren't into self-catering. Lots of fun things were in walking distance, and there is a big grocery store, Provigo, on the same block. Super convenient, very quiet during our stay, and very nicely appointed. We will go back there on on our next trip to Montreal. Only downside: the parking is at the back of the hotel in the alley. Nothing went wrong, but the alley and the shady characters hanging around the convenience store were eye-opening for my little kids. That said, the parking was free, unlike other hotels' parking in the area.
