The hotel offers parking at an extra rate ( that is fine) but to find the said parking is hell. The receptionist was not much of help and did offer "a way to go there" map, and has no idea of which street is a one way around the hotel. A coffee machine would have been nice in the room, but none. The towels could use some softener at the washing stage as I found to be a bit "rough"

Hotel was generally nice and close to many restaurants. After an overnight rain, found dripping water and puddles in the hallway, and we weren't on the top floor. Website showed what looked like a breakfast buffet, but this was not the case.

This hotel was so terrible we literally booked another one just to get out of the Loft. There was a urine stain on the duvet, room was filthy, no cleaners most days and the staff were unable and/or unwilling to assist. We have enjoyed every other property we have booked on Expedia over the last 10-15 years and would recommend severing ties with this establishment. We were so disgusted that we paid for two hotels and feel we should be reimbursed for the entire stay as this was on the same level as a shelter. Ruined a much needed vacation.

The building and rooms were nice but the room furniture has seen better days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is outstanding. It was satisfactory but I would not return at these rates. Incredibly expensive, even considering Grand Prix weekend premium, and therefore worn furniture, loose and wobbly toilets and minimal towels were an annoyance.

We stayed at the Loft Hotel during the GP weekend. My review is based on the room priced extremely high. The hotel is in a great location, has a parking garage ($25 extra per day), and the design in the lobby is certainly interesting. The personnel are friendly, but seemingly work alone. Communication with the hotel happened mostly by text, and it was sporadic at with replies. Our room in the 6th floor was large, but extremely sparsely furnished. Most of the space was empty and you needed binoculars to see the TV from the sofa. Our room had “city views”, which means a street and the building on the other side. It rained a bit the first night and there was some water leaking in near the entrance. It continued raining throughout the next day, and now water was leaking into every area of the room, including the bedroom. We put pots and pans from the kitchen under every leak. Water was leaking into the corridor as well, both to bucket placed there and several places around it. We asked for another room, which we got from the lobby floor. This didn’t leak, but had evidence of prior water damage on the wood floor, and moldy seams between the bathroom tiles. The mattress was lumpy too, but wasn’t sagging like the prior one. I read a lot of earlier reviews after our stay and there are reports of leaks from earlier. They knew our room would have leaks and about rain being forecast and gave us the room anyway. This hotel is a scam. Avoid at any cost.

This was a beautiful and spacious apartment. It was elegant and decorated tastefully and artistically with sparking chandeliers. It is the most unique place I have stayed in and I will recommend it to friends! 😃

A strange old building that has a speciat character, may not be so inviting in the hallways, but had a stunning suite, very clean, newmodern appliances, a safe and quiet place for a few days. Wonderful location on Montreal clise to everything.

Big room, bigger nightmare
The staff was VERY POLITE and they're the best thing about this hotel. It's a creepy place. The elevator is one of those industrial ones, you have to keep holding the button to make it move. If someone leaves the grid open, it doesn't move from floor to floor. Very inconvenient when you're holding bags, and not accessible at all. The rooms are enormous with edgy decoration, but a closer look reveals furniture that has been severely worn out, to the point of being uncomfortable. There's a thin line separating design choices from stooping. There's no housekeeping, nobody goes into your room. The fire alarm went off at 2 am waking everybody up. There was a pipe dripping non-stop in my room, making it impossible to sleep. There are deep holes and indentations on the floor, covered by rugs. I've injured my ankle and it's costing me money to get it fixed. The bath/shower is poorly planned, every shower floods the entire bathroom - and it stays that way, with no housekeeping. The beds come straight from a scary movie, cracking with every movement. They don't have blackout drapes, making it hard to sleep on long spring & summer days. The lobby was filthy-dirty, even if it hasn't been snowing for about 1 month now. If you like that underground, vilain-from-a-james-bond-movie vibe, you're in for a treat. It's rather scenic. Run from it if you're looking for comfort.

Loved room 502 other than no coffee machine? And a bit hard to find coffee to go very handy near by when you don’t know the area enough we ended up just getting some at a vegan place down the road. Very little kitchen supplies in general for such a large space. But if you don’t care about the kitchen supplies and glasses then it’s an amazing space!

2 Months and it will be closed.
My two day stay ended up being a1 night stay. Terrible customer service, no television(on screen, Videotron cut them off due to non payment. Less than slow Internet service so if doing work, good luck. The place is run by someone who could not speak French or English and when asked to please call a cab, the reply was that the clerk did not have telephone number to call them. I could not charge my phone or IPAD as the outlets did not work. On a scale of 1-10, they deserve a 4 and that is being generous. Skip this place if you want to enjoy your stay in Montreal.

The staff were friendly. The room looked nice at first glance, but the sink, and shower didn’t drain properly, the chairs were extremely worn and cracked. There was a coffee pot with filters but no coffee or sugar/ whitener ect.. to make a cup. The microwave didn’t have a glass plate to use it, there were no face cloths and the driveway and walks leading into the building were so icy that I ended up taking a huge fall despite being extremely careful with my footing. The room had the potential to be great but there is no up keep so overall very disappointed.

Not a hotel, don't expect one.
While sizable and relatively comfortable for its category, this property is definitely not a hotel. It essentially provides minimally-equipped, loft-style apartments managed on site. There is not daily cleaning or replenishing of sheets/towels/toiletries. The amenities provided were outdated and potentially dangerous: a broken ironing board, outdated and leaky iron, and hair dryer with coils exposed due to broken outer plastic. The room itself was large, and the bed was comfortable, but I wouldn't stay there again, even if I'd known beforehand what I was getting into. I also encourage hotels.com to advertise the property as what it actually is.

Worst experience. Stay away from this location. Got stuck in the freight elevator. Garage had sitting water and looked like a sewer. Did not feel safe at this establishment and did not stay Still waiting for a refund. It’s been 3 months… No response from owners.

The stay was not great. Very poor front desk staff and management. We were not able to check in early so I sat in the lobby for 3 hours because the room wasn't ready; however if we were willing to pay $75 we could check in early? Manager got into a verbal exchange with customer in front of me for the same reason as us. He wanted to get access to his room earlier but was not permitted unless he paid extra. I sent an e-mail asking if I could check in early with no response. Furniture in lobby and the rooms looked like they got it from a garage sale; old and run down. Shower curtain fell down, how water tap came off, cable box didn't work so no TV the 1st day. Entry into the garage was not convenient. Needed to buzz for entry every time we entered or left property; often time needing to wait. After I checked in I got a call to say that I didnt pay and I had to go back down and pay? What did I check in for? The room was very spacious and big; but it wasn't a "city view"; it looked like a hoarder dropped off their old stuff in the back yard of the place; old mattresses, lots of debris; real eye sore. I put down a $300 deposit when I checked in and then I got a call after I checked out to confirm the credit card # so they could refund my $300; not sure why they didnt have the # since they took it for the deposit. Overall it seemed they just did not know what they were doing; very mickey mouse. I would be surprised if they are still in business in 1 year under this management.

We should have trusted the negative reviews. We booked a room with two beds via Expedia and were placed in a room with one bed. The front desk then told us there was only one other room available with two beds, which we moved to. The heater in that room was on full blast and the hotel could not turn it off or control it, so we spent both nights sweating on top of the sheets. Even though we told the hotel there was no hand or body soap we never received any- just shampoo and conditioner for the entire stay. When we got back to the room the second night our keys didn't work, the room hadn't been cleaned, and there were no clean towels. Over the phone, the manager told us we would be credited back some portion of the cost for the inconvenience but over a week later we have not been able to get in contact with the manager or received any refund. When checking out, there was another guest pressing the front desk to give him money that he was promised due to issues during his stay. Do not stay at this hotel.

Property was spacious and met all of our needs. You can not expect perfection though and as some of the other reviews mention it’s cheaply put together. We had water coming out of the door from the shower where it didn’t seal properly. You could see things duct taped and glued. Housekeeping is excellent though and do a great job cleaning the rooms. Also the heat was Sahara desert at all times and the tv wasn’t working properly. If you want space this is the place, if you want perfection it is not.

Very comfortable bed, lots of space and very good staff but needs some money spent on it. The smoke alarm and safe didn’t work. The microwave had to be replaced and the oven had no shelves. Rudimentary kitchen equipment. All fixable for not much effort or outlay and would turn a good experience into a great one.

This hotel has a great location. And great art in the lobby. Excellent if waiting for check-in time. I gave low rating because they did not fix our door knob nor provided us with a key to access our room. We had to ask the front desk to open our door each time. This did not make us feel safe throughout our stay.
