Was supposedly given an upgraded room at no additional charge. The room was bigger, but the TV and Air Conditioning didn't work and Montreal was experiencing a heat wave. I could not connect to the Wifi in this room for some reason. The stairs up to this room are steep and narrow. I had a heavy suitcase so I was told I could leave it in the "employees only" front desk office. Finally, at the end of the day, I was told I would be moved to the room I had originally booked, but it was not the room shown by my Expedia booking. The room was very small and cramped. The TV didn't work and the cable box was hanging from the ceiling by it's cables connected to the TV, but at least the air conditioning worked. There was no waste basket in the room. There is no room cleaning service, so had to ask for fresh towels and more toilet paper. My first night at the Hotel, there was someone sleeping on the couch in the lobby. They were still there at 6:30 am when I went out to get a coffee. The neighborhood is well located, but there are a lot of homeless people and drug addicts on the streets around the hotel. I witnessed several fights on the street and had many unscrupulous people come up to me either begging for food or money or just to bother me. When I checked out, I discovered my $35 mouse pad that was in the large front pocket of my suitcase was missing. Thank goodness nothing else was. I would not recommend this hotel.
