“Easy access to Metro and Central Bus Station”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel the last time we were in Montreal (15 years ago), so we decided to stay again. It is very close to the Berri UQAM Metro station and the Central Bus Station. The hotel is close to major areas for shopping and eating. There is a restaurant in the hotel with a few tables outside (when the weather is nice). A small gift shop is inside the hotel, but the selection is limited. The staff members were friendly and communicated in English and French without any problems.

This hotel was very nice. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and in a good location for Old Montreal and downtown. It's easy to get to and from the airport, too - there's a shuttle from the bus station a block or two away. Excellent.

“Good location nice ambience”

Montreal is great and the hotel is well located to enjoy it. I loved the old city particularly and got to be good on the subway located near hotel. Because of heat in July I came back to hotel at 1 to rest. worked well. Latin quarter offered lots of restaurants, also the Village. Dont miss the great Botanical gardens.

Nice size rooms with fridg. All the amenities of the big guys at much less cost. Close to the subway and the old part of town. Exchange your money at a bank. Highly recommend.

Small lobby, dated furniture, decor shows signs of wear; BUT! very clean and staff is as helpful as a 5 star hotel. Close to Old Montreal (about two blocks), restaurants on St. Denis, Metro, and bus lines. Bus from airport stops about 1/2 block away. Restaurant staff are excellent. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be close to everything and doesn't want to spend a fortune.

Been to the Berri, 3 out of the 4 years I've been to Montreal. Great service, nice breakfast. Excellent location right in the middle of everything.

“Don't overlook this gem”

This hotel is ideally situated to access all you want to see in Montreal. It's just a short walk down hill to Vieux Montreal (the old port) and 2 blocks to the Metro station to get anywhere else you'd like to go. Lots of choice for restaurants in the area and really inexpensive (under $5 for bacon & eggs for breakfast). Within walking district of theatres and galleries in Quartier Spectacular. My son was concerned that we were staying in an area that might not be safe at night. This was definitely not the case. I highly recommend using Hotel Lord Berri as your "base camp" to explore Montreal. Also check out the free walking tour of Quartier Spectacular and the Pub Crawl (civilized) of local brew pubs.
