Great location

The positive aspect of this place is its location and staff. Close to numerous attractions, restaurants and subway. Cleanliness and room condition not great. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Yes, we would stay here again, the price is reasonable and if you just want a bed and shower, it does the work. Breakfast served at each room is very nice.

Return to Montreal in the summer

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Maybe the soap dispensers and how to work the shower could be noted.
Location: See above
I like this small, charming hotel because it is in the gay Village section of Montreal, close to metro Berri Uquam, restaurants, shopping and entertaining summer patio spots along St. Catherine. Breakfast is included and I got to practice my French with the amiable staff.

Affordable hotel, but you can probably do better.

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, price
Cons: Rooms
Location: Convenient, although quite a few homeless people on Sainte Catherine Street who can make some people uncomfortable. Good supermarket nearby.
I have stayed several times in this hotel. The main reason to stay here were the location (right in the Latin Quarter, near Saint Catherine street), reasonable price and free parking that was available to many, if not most guests. The parking lot has gotten smaller, based on what the hotel employee told me, and now the parking is hard to come by. The hotel has gotten even more dated and I think is in real need of remodeling. The room had an unpleasant, stale smell that would not go completely away even after we kept the window open for hours. I will try to find something better in this same area of Montreal, even if I have to pay a little bit more.

2nd visit here

Posted 6-Jul-2014
Second time I've stayed here. For location and price it can't be beat. The staff even provided parking for my vehicle on the property for 5 days. The room was tiny but clean. Mattress was old and linens worn. Bathroom consisted of a shower stall with a nicely plugged drain. This was resolved once it was brought to their attention. I'd stay here again. It's a good place surrounded by everything that makes Montreal great.

Good location but not clean!!

Posted 2-Jul-2014
Cheap but not clean at all! The bed sheets were dirty! The floor was dirty! I was expecting some of this, but not bed sheets that are used!!!! There are plenty of hotels around which are cheap and clean, I don't recommend this hotel.

Convenient, Affordable

Reasonable price. Pleasant breakfast (warm bread and croissant, juice, tea/coffee) delivered at requested time. Close to restaurants, bars and metro. It was nice and quiet throughout my stay even though I was on the first floor.

Super convenient, low price, and RIGHT DOWNTOWN!

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Overall wonderful experience, hotel staff were very friendly, and allowed my three friends and I pay for the hotel separately. Nice, nothin' fancy hotel with a cozy feel but without the exuberant price. This is a great hotel for crashing in after a long day/night of living up Montreal.

Perfect location, affordable comfort.

Pros: The location, the price and the power of the tiled shower.
Cons: There was a sharp edge in a corner of the bathroom door, and not much space around the toilet seat to sit straight.
Location: At the beginning of the gay village in the centre of the town; close to two metro stations and the airport bus.
This hotel was in the perfect location for Montreal's large gay village with its restaurants and bars yet being far enough back from the main street to be quiet. Very close to the metro system and the 747 airport bus, and a ten minute walk from Chinatown and slightly further the old port with tourist shops, Cirque de Soleil and sightseeing boats. For the cheap price the rooms were quite reasonable, although I had a couple of niggles with the bathroom. Breakfast in my room was quite nice (croissant, bread, fillings, juice, tea/coffee) and provided at the requested time.

Decent hotel of the cheap price. Ok for a 1 night sleepover as it is close to metro/bus.

Hotel close to Downtown attractions

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: Not much.
Cons: People in the reception area must be able to speak English, to help the customers.
Room was dirty, small and did not have basic toiletries and the staff could not provide them even after the request. Surrounding areas were noisy, due to many clubs etc.
