Easter Get Away

Posted 7-Apr-2015
Pros: Location. Cleanliness.
Cons: Creaky hallways floors.
Location: Close to the village, Metro, Place Dupuis and Old Montreal.
A short notice get away provided us with a clean ground floor room and breakfast delivered to the door at 11 a.m. each morning. Luckily the few parking spots owned by the hotel had one remaining for us - so settling in for a brief leisure trip was easy. Hotel Le St. Andre always works.

Not too bad but the hallways smell like smoke. Fire alarm went off at 730 am because people were smoking

Great hotel for enjoying Montreal's Nightlife!

Posted 31-Mar-2015
Pros: Location was great, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean.
Cons: The room was too bright! With no curtains, the sun woke us up after only a few hours sleep each day of our stay.
Location: Lots of great dining, nightlife, and shopping.
We enjoyed our stay but it was not a high-end experience by any means. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and cheerful. The location was great for shopping, dining, and nightlife. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size and very clean. It was quiet at night. There were only thin blinds on the windows, which meant that we were up with the sun each morning. After enjoying Montreal's nightlife, the room was far too bright, far too early.

Close to everything!

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: Close to everything we wanted to do and see.
Cons: a complete renovation to make it soundproof! JK, at 11 pm there is a quiet rule and if people don't respect it they will be asked to leave.
Location: Shopping, Metro, Restaurants, neat army surplus stores, cool bars, whatever you want or need I am sure you can find it from here.
We stayed over the Valentine's weekend and were treated great! The staff are knowledgeable about the surroundings and very helpful. It is close to the Metro and St. Catherine is right around the corner for great shopping. We had a great time!!! The Hotel rooms are not soundproof by any means we could hear people coughing down the hall but we were fortunate to have the top floor so nobody was over our heads... I would ask for the 4th floor ;) other than that it was a great place to sleep.

Some like it cold...

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Building is antique, including the heating system. There is no designated parking except 2 spots at the back. Room carpet is in horrible state. SUPER COLD! It was -20C outside, I could swear that the temperature inside the room was no higher than +15C, partly due to the fact that the door did not exactly fit the frame. Sheets were ok, breakfast is coffee and croissants, staff is quite friendly and helpful. Close to the subway, there are some restaurants nearby. Bottom line: probably would be acceptable at summer time, but I would not recommend it if the outside temperature is below zero.

Very friendly staff. Decor tired but overall good value and within walking distance of the old town and all the restaurants. Croissants a breakfast were delicious./

Hôtel bien situé au centre-ville de Montréal

Posted 2-Feb-2015
