Tired and needing update

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: It's vicinity
Cons: The hotel needs to have dome money put back into it to improve facilities
Location: Very hood vicinity
Bed very uncomfortable, carpet filthy, no hair dryer, needed to get up steps to enter, doesn't advertise that it is not disability friendly, car parking at cost many blocks away

A Quick week nights run to Montreal

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, ease of access, free on site parking, cleanliness,
Cons: Warn patrons about noise risk rooms in the front of the hotel
Location: Village, Old Montreal, St. Catherine St., St, Denis, St. Laurent, Metro stations. Also close to the best designed, most chic St. Hubert in the country
A jaunt to Montreal during a staycation. Had been looking @ Le St. Andre rates for the w'end - but Expedia's rates for last weeks weewk nights were unmatched. Enjoyed being in room 340 - but the card lock device broke on our door - so we were - regrettably - sent off to room 337 for our second night. Don't ever accept rooms at the front of the hotel ! The restaurants & stores surrounding the hotel have their supply trucks parking, backing up, loading and unloading their wares in front of the rooms = VERY NOISY - making for a very short sleep cycle for hotel patrons. Otherwise - our stay matched every other time we've enjoyed Le St. Andre.

Stay somewhere else

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Parking is difficult and the hotel is not very clean. Beds are hard and rooms not tilted out well. Bathroom was tiny and shower leaked badly.

Close to the party we were going to.

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: What I liked best was that they brought the continental breakfast to your room. Like room service!
Cons: They could have more parking or parking arrangements nearby.
It was fine, comfortable, quiet. It was a reasonably priced hotel. What more can I say?

Great location

Posted 26-Jul-2014
The positive aspect of this place is its location and staff. Close to numerous attractions, restaurants and subway. Cleanliness and room condition not great. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Yes, we would stay here again, the price is reasonable and if you just want a bed and shower, it does the work. Breakfast served at each room is very nice.

Return to Montreal in the summer

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Maybe the soap dispensers and how to work the shower could be noted.
Location: See above
I like this small, charming hotel because it is in the gay Village section of Montreal, close to metro Berri Uquam, restaurants, shopping and entertaining summer patio spots along St. Catherine. Breakfast is included and I got to practice my French with the amiable staff.

Affordable hotel, but you can probably do better.

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, price
Cons: Rooms
Location: Convenient, although quite a few homeless people on Sainte Catherine Street who can make some people uncomfortable. Good supermarket nearby.
I have stayed several times in this hotel. The main reason to stay here were the location (right in the Latin Quarter, near Saint Catherine street), reasonable price and free parking that was available to many, if not most guests. The parking lot has gotten smaller, based on what the hotel employee told me, and now the parking is hard to come by. The hotel has gotten even more dated and I think is in real need of remodeling. The room had an unpleasant, stale smell that would not go completely away even after we kept the window open for hours. I will try to find something better in this same area of Montreal, even if I have to pay a little bit more.

2nd visit here

Posted 6-Jul-2014
Second time I've stayed here. For location and price it can't be beat. The staff even provided parking for my vehicle on the property for 5 days. The room was tiny but clean. Mattress was old and linens worn. Bathroom consisted of a shower stall with a nicely plugged drain. This was resolved once it was brought to their attention. I'd stay here again. It's a good place surrounded by everything that makes Montreal great.

Good location but not clean!!

Posted 2-Jul-2014
Cheap but not clean at all! The bed sheets were dirty! The floor was dirty! I was expecting some of this, but not bed sheets that are used!!!! There are plenty of hotels around which are cheap and clean, I don't recommend this hotel.
