First Class Hotel in a First Class City!

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Clean, modern hotel with impecable service. From the moment of check in to check out service was fast, attentive and what I would expect from a good hotel. Near the Museum of Fine Arts and the Bell Arena (can you say Hockey!), this hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area of Montreal. Additionally, it may be of note that the building is half hotel half condos which is another plus since the lobby doesn't look like a hotel lobby (i.e. no bars, people hanging out, etc...).

Lack of communication

Posted 17-Sep-2014
HUGE lack of communication issues with housekeeping!! When checking in I requested a specific time for nightly turn down service. It never happened. The first night I returned to my room around 10:30 pm and nothing had been done. The wet towels were still on the bathroom floor, the empty shampoo and body wash were not replaced and the bed was unmade. The front desk sent a maintenance man to do housekeeping's job. The second night, or should I say afternoon, the turn down service was performed mid-afternoon, before we had an opportunity to take our evening showers before dinner. This was the only night (afternoon) housekeeping left us a box of maple sugar candies, which was a nice touch. Why we did not receive these the other nights is beyond me. On the third night, housekeeping's definition of turn down service was to leave two bottles of water and the weather card on the bench just inside the door. Again the wet towels were left on the bathroom floor and the bed was left a mess.

Very nice hotel in a great location

Posted 5-Sep-2014
Pros: Location; cleanliness; staff; pool; hot tub.
Location: Walking distance to great shops, restaurants, entertainment, Mont Royal, casino bus, etc.
The Hotel met all of our expectations. We especially loved the hotel pool and hot tub, which was generally pretty quiet. It is located in a great part of town that is within walking distance to most of the Montreal attractions. The staff was pleasant and our room was quite large with modern amenities.

Modern hotel located in the heart o montreal

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: We loved the hot tub, pool and sauna on 12th floor as well as the size of the room.
Cons: Nespresso coffee machine was not working properly in our room , the one at pool was fine.
Location: excellent location near downtown shopping and some great restaurants
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and selected the Crystal hotel due to its location and also its amenities. Beautiful hot tub on the 12th floor roof overlooking montreal , with nice sauna and saltwater pool. The room was spacious with nice rain shower and comfortable king bed. We were walking distance to shopping and restaurant which was convenient.

Downtown Montreal is Wonderful

Posted 23-Aug-2014
Pros: The location was superb. A block away from the downtown restaurant scene. 20 min8ute walk to old Montreal and 10 min to Museum districtt
Cons: Breakfast. The restaurant is a joke. Way overpriced and poor service. Slow and errors everyday with the service or the bill.
Location: Really close to Bell Center and Downtown restaurant scene. Close to museums and metro and bixi access. Really great, central location.
My family and I had a wonderful experience in Montreal. We booked Le Crystal because it was billed as a 5 star hotel. For us, a 5 star hotel should always be a superlative experience. From the time we enter the hotel until the time we leave, the true "5 star" experience should be a notch above. Le Crystal is a nice hotel. The service was good, but not superlative. There were no little warm touches like the 4 seasons offer (chocolates on the pillow or a glass of wine or an evening reception}. We booked a suite, which consisted of nice king bed behind french doors and a sitting area with a glass table and a small kitchenette. Our room view was of the construction site across the street. That construction site became active at 7:00am. Montreal goes strong until 6am, so being awakened by pile-driving at 7am was an unfortunate thing. I brought earplugs, which I used for the next couple nights. Also, the kitchenette had a microwave that did not work well {made terrible noises if you used it}. The hot tub and the pool on the 12th floor was pleasant enough {and offered free water which intermittently appeared during evening turn-down (but not always). The restaurant is mediocre {at best} for breakfast. Service is consistently slow, with poor attention to customer service. Good luck getting a second cup of coffee in reasonable time. Also, the prices are insane and they do not get the order correct very often.

No better stay anywhere.

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: Brand new, Incredibly knowledgeable staff that are invested in making sure your happy. Location is ideal
Cons: Give free parking with your stay at the hotel. That was petty. And expensive.
Location: Downtown old Montreal; The Pier; restaurants are very good all around. Indian was best. Ride Bikes; browse shops and walk and walk. Great people.
Everyone was so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and eager to make my wife and three kids feel like home. The hotel is definitely every bit of 5 Stars. Immaculate all around. Our suite was on the 10th. floor, away from most of the construction going on across the street. It was a beautityul suite with a kitchen and incredible bathroom and panoramic views of the adjacent streets and Montreal downtown, if you go on the 12th. floor where the pool, hot tub and gym is/Spa. We will definitely stay here again. One annoying thing however is that for a pretty penny that we paid to stay here, it should come with free parking. $33/per night is not fair. It should be free with a hotel stay.

Short vacation

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: This is a luxury hotel with high-end amenities. Spacious rooms .Family friendly.
Cons: Parking was pricy.
Location: This is close to old Montreal so everything can be covered by a short walk.
This hotel is in downtown and very close to city activity. The hotel staff was very friendly . Just be aware of the hotel bill at the time of checkout as I was charged room service for some other room. Over all no issues except parking was bit expensive there were many outdoor parking at a cheaper rate nearby .
