“good”
Great price....superb location. Very near to old montreal....
“Perfect hotel”
Great hotel in city center! Nice restaurants just around the corner. The best thing was that the the room had a kitchen, perfect to prepare breakfast! It was very clean and they were friendly. Good cocktails at hotel bar!
“Great Hotel!”
This is a great hotel for families. We were six, twp parents and four adult children. We had two immaculate rooms, one with two queens and the other with a queen and a couch pull-out, great for flexibilty and moving between, depending on activities. The kitchenettes are well equipped. We asked and received Housekeeping services promptly. It is very conveniently located. In and out privileges for parking worked well.
“Great service”
Due to overbooking our initial room was not available. So, they were able to give us two upgrades to a better room and I loved it!! They were really understanding and made sure we were comfortable. Along with free internet service, even though it was for one night. I loved staying at the hotel and would book my next hotel room there.
“Our getaway”
The location of the hotel places it within easy walking distance to so many parts of Montreal. The stall is fantastic, so very kind and engaging. Always on hand to give you advice on attractions or detailed directions to wherever we wanted to go.
“Comfortable Beds, Very Friendly Service”
Easy to find, very friendly and helpful staff. The location is good, near McGill and a block from subway and bus stops. The room was clean and the two queen beds were VERY comfortable. Room service excellent. The kitchenette (stovetop, microwave, sink, refrigerator) was very useful, because we were traveling with our 2-year-old son. A bit of a walk to the grocery story (around 10 minutes). Could hear kid in room next door, and I bet they could hear our kid, but not so loud. Parking was complicated - no room in hotel's garage so had to park around block in neighboring hotel garage. Parking too expensive ($25/night).
“What a gem!”
Almost hidden from view - the better known 'name' hotels around have the larger, glitzier signs - Le Cantlie is a great find. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were impressed. The room ws more than ample with 2 queen beds, a desk, large bureau and - a surprise - behind louver doors was a kitchenette: microwave, refrigerator, sink, cabinets, utensils, settings...even dishwashing liquid in the cabinets! The restaurant, which we only had time to use in the morning, was delightful and tasty. We were in town for the Rotary International Convention, so this is not only a family-friendly location (an exercise room and pool we didn't have time to access which had great views of the city) but one centrally located for business (one block from Peel metro). Hope I get to stay again!
“Good value in Montreal”
The hotel is older but well maintained. The room was of a good size and well appointed. The amenities, such as the business center, are very good. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The location is very near to a lot of great restaurants and night life. It also is very near McGill and not a bad walk to the old city. At the price, we thought the hotel an excellent value.

“Cantlie Suite : centre ville proche commerces pour magasiner”
Très bon établissement, propre, personnel agréable, très bon emplacement, proche commerces et monuments intéressants (Basilique Notre Dame du Monde). Kitchenette dans la suite : micro-ondes, frigo et 2 plaques chauffantes. Un plan du quartier nous est donné dès l'arrivée avec les bons endroits pour déjeuner et autres restaus. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel.
