Good hotel with great proximity to the "village."

Posted 31-Jul-2015
Pros: Location. Near public transportation.
Cons: TV service in English. Concierge ability to book popular tours with pickup at the hotel.
Location: Good restaurants and cafes
I stayed at the hotel many years ago and had good memories of the location, accommodations and service. Good value for the price.

Affordable, close to everything!

Check in was simple, parking was a breeze. All the staff were friendly. Just off st.Catherine this hotel was close to everything. And its attatched to a small mall with lots of food choices, a liquor store and a pharmacy. Other than the window sill being dusty and the windows needing a good cleaning to be able to see out of, this hotel is excellent!

Great Location / Old hotel

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Location was awesome, lobby was super nice, staff was great.
Cons: Standard rooms need to be renovated, properly cleaned.
Room we booked through Expedia (standard runt) was not up to what we expected. There was no way that we were going to stay in that room. (Smelled old, carpet soaked with 1970s smell with history of cigarettes, bathroom not properly cleaned...). So we upgraded to Business class $$. Much better, but pricier.

Look for better options at this price

Posted 23-Jul-2015
Pros: General location, and architecture of building.
Cons: Rooms are starting to get tired. Staff in general needs training to improve positive image and energy. Not a friendly, we want to come back experience
Location: Central location, easy walking distance to activities and attractions.
Not as great as it should be. Facilities were decent, but not great, could not get reservations at the restaurant. Staff was a bit snobbish and not outgoing or helpful unless encouraged. We really expect better service from this supposed caliber of Hotel.

Nice hotel good location

Nice hotel, close to Just for Laughs and African Festivals, walking distance to Old Montreal. We slept well and didn't hear street noise (14th floor). Buy the breakfast coupons when you make your reservations. Parking garage easy to get in and out of as long as you don't have a large SUV, we have a Chevy Equinox and had to remove the antenna so it didn't break off. All in all nice staff, good hotel and great location for our weekend away. Would definitely stay there again.
