“Very nice hotel, location slightly shady”

This hotel was great. The room came with a full kitchen, fully furnished with pots and pans and utensils. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, we felt a little uncomfortable walking around at night near the hotel.

no complaints, valet parking at a reasonable price of $16 per night was great because parking was limited near the hotel and the prices at lots were not much lower. lots of bars, restaurants, and stores on avenue to rear of hotel. (walking distance)

“perfect for conference”

I attended a week -long conference at the Palais des Congres, and stayed 8 nights. The room was clean and spacious, with a full kitchen. Eating out in Montreal is expensive, and this worked perfect for me. The very adequate supermarket is about 5 mins walk, and the conference centre about 8 mins in same direction. (Enormous underground mall starts at supermarket and continues to conference centre and beyond.) The super market sells a large variety of freshly prepared one person meals too. Internet access is available in all rooms ( not Wifi-- bring a cable, but if you forgot yours, they have some) and in down stairs lounge. Free small gym, free washing machines and even free coffee vending machine.Reception sells the necessary emergency supplies, ie I got milk and cornflakes on my first night for the next morning .Very thoughtfully you have some starter coffee, sugar, small bottle of dishwashing liquid etc in your kitchen.Room is only cleaned once per week, the rest of the time you can fetch clean supplies from reception if you need to. I would say the general ambience would be as if you took a clean Travelodge with friendly staff and made it self catering. I will certainly stay here again if ever I need to go to Montreal again, and it will work equally well for a holiday with my family.

“Good Extended Stay”

As an extended stay, room service only comes once a week. With that in mind, the service was excellent. Thee room we stayed in included kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, two sets of dishes and breakfast bar; king size bed; pull out sleeper couch; desk; TV and DVD player; and full bath. Hotel services include free laundry (buy your own detergent), DVD library and large vending selection to name a few. It is also within walking distance of a couple of grocery stores where you can pick up your own food. It is located near old town, Chinatown and shopping on St Catherine. Also located near train stops and airport express bus stops. All in all, very convenient. Definitely a good hotel for extended stays in Montreal.

I was very satisfied with Candlewood Suites! All the conditions are great: welcoming and helpful staff, clean suite, great position close to the old town and the latin neighbourhood. I particulary liked the fact that the kitchen had all the kitchenware that I could have wanted for preparing some nice breakfast. I could have cooked whole meals for two persons, and could have moved there for at least a week without any problems, but unfortunately that was not the case, I stayed there only for 3 night, but I definetely enjoyed it.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend, we were so impressed with the room. The room was huge and so clean. I was like having a little apartment, it was very comfortable. We would stay there again for sure. It was so close to the nightlife and resturants, GREAT LOCATION.. the only down side was the parking. But other then that I will be going there again.

“Wonderful Stay in Great Location”

This hotel is newly renovated and recently converted from condomiums to suites. So our suite was on the 11th floor, had a great view of the city, and a fully furnished kitchen. Very comfortable and clean. Situated in the heart of downtown montreal,minutes from teh Jazz fest as well as St. Denise [restaurant row]. Parking is minimal,but valet parking at $17 dollars/day is available. All in all a very pleasurable, comfortable stay.

“Very Comfortable Suite if your travelling with or without kids”

For the price it was well worth it !!! The room itself was very comfortable as wells as the beds. The full kitchen was very convienant, the full size Fridge and Mircowave also a plus since we were traveling with kids. The room itself was very clean had no smell . the only thing is , if you need fresh towels, you had to bring it downstairs and exchange for new fresh ones. The staff spoke english very well and were extremely helpful with suggestions of restaurants ,sites to see, and other recommendations. They also have a free washer and dryer to use, the only thing is that you have to buy their detergent which is about $2.00.- (which your gonna need anyway). The neighborhood it self was a bit "Shady" at nite- but during the day it was fine. Overall-I strongly recommend this suite its very relaxing and comfortable. I would book this Hotel/Suite again.
