One night in Montreal

Posted 24-Oct-2014
Pros: Helpful receptionists
Cons: Needs a general check-up OR lower prices
Location: Close to downtown Montreal ….
Hotel clean but the room paintwork quite tired. supposed to be double-glazed but one set of the windows did not shut properly so a lot of street noise came into the room. A lot of noise transmission within the hotel, including a security man (?) with his walkie-talkie at 3 am. people making a lot of noise talking and banging room doors up to 4 am.

Nice quiet hotel, in the most beautiful city ever

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet hotel with amazing views of Montreal
Location: Near the beautiful Mont-Royal, and rue Ste-Catherine and the Vieux-Montréal. Perfect location
I felt at home. I cannot wait to come back ☺ Spent 6 beautiful days visiting le Vieux Montréal, le Vieux Port, walking on the Mont Royal, shopping on rue Ste-Catherine and eating in superb restaurants. Beautiful city and beautiful people

Walking distance to the city and attractions.

Very nice staff, clean. One thing I didn't like is the bathroom, the outlet for the hair dryer is right in front of the sink. No conditioner, only shampoo. The Zewalde restaurant and coffee shop are great.. good.food. Amir at The souvenir shop is very nice. People in Montreal are wonderful. I feel safe walking around the city even at night. Had a great time.

You get what you pay for.

The Best Western is a very well located hotel and among the better deals you can get in the area. The room, although clean, was below average size for a typical Canadian hotel. Neither the sink or the toilet in our hotel room flowed, which was a disappointing thing to discover after a long night out in this beautiful city.

Great Value and Location & Otherwise Forgettable

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: Location and bar/restaurant staff.
Cons: Reception staff needs some refresher training, and/or they need to evaluate their processes to improve efficiencies. Hotel rooms were just okay.
Location: Crescent Street is 2 blocks from the hotel, with huge array of nightlife. Trendy and varied shopping all round the surrounding streets as well.
Reception exceptionally slow with registrations, and appeared very unorganized and trained. Great location and good rate are the hotel's redeeming qualities, while the rooms themselves are dated and not especially comfortable, but otherwise clean and does the job. Lobby coffee shop cash only, which was slightly annoying, but the bar/restaurant team were good staff and were actually amongst the better in service compared to many of hotels and restaurants I visited on a hectic trip across Canada.

nice location

Posted 3-Sep-2014
Pros: location: down town
Cons: the room was cold at night and the heater wasnot working
stayed two nights. the room was ok, not so luxurious but was acceptable. however, I paid a lot because the booking was on US dollars, and that wasnot clear o me, also they charged extra money for my kids as the rate that was mentioned on expedia website was only for two people, an information that was perfectly hidden..however, i felt safe walking on the nearby streets at night.

Really nice hotel in Montreal, Canada

This was our first trip to Montreal. What a beautiful city. The Best Western was a great place to stay. Very clean and the staff was excellent. I would stay at their hotel again.
