Good value for the money

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: Price and location
Cons: The sign out front could be more visible.
Location: You can walk a few blocks to old Montreal the Bell Centre is walking distance and so is Sherbrooke a major shopping district.
Not the most fancy hotel in montreal but I have stayed in more expensive hotels and if you want value cleanliness and walking distance to major attractions this is it. If you want to stay in your hotel for most of your stay go with a different hotel.

Close to McGill Stadium

Upon arrival the desk clerk told us about the fireworks that evening and where to view them. We did go and saw great fireworks. Also staff very helpful in giving directions. Very good and comfortable room. Only thing I would have liked was a free continental breakfast .

Affordable, clean and friendly staff

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: Hotel is close to downtown, clean, nice size rooms and friendly staff.
Location: Check their website and map which identifies surrounding amenities.
Best Western Ville-Marie made our stay in Montreal that much more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Pros: Very nice comfortable room.
Cons: For a business hotel located in the downtown area, not to have in room safes was shocking and absurd. Front desk safes are not practical.
Location: Great downtown location
Only there for 24 hours. Staff was very helpful. Concierge / valet parking helped us make the most of a brief stay in Montreal. Only down side was road construction that made access to the hotel by car somewhat cumbersome.

Hotel situated in central position in Montreal.

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Pros: Nothing was too much for the staff, who were cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was appetising with a good selection on offer.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Centrally situated, close to the Metro for ease of movement, lots to see and do - art galleries, river cruises, restaurants, interesting shops.
There was a slight delay on arrival as our room was not ready, but the hotel happily stored our luggage while we started to explore Montreal. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

early check-in equals disappointing room

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: The location and the concierge.
Cons: The staff not the front desk need to take a refresher in hospitality.
Location: It is located on Sherbrooke street which has the museum of Fine Arts on the street. It is also to blocks from where you catch the Hop-on /Hop -Off bus
The location was very good close to shopping, restaurants and museums. I asked for an early check-in which wasn't available and when i finally did get to my room, i was given an old room on the 18th floor which ended up have yellow stuff dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom and flooding it. I was given breakfast vouchers and after the manager became aware of the predicament, we were relocated to a room that had been in the renovated section. The valet/concierge was really helpful and the manager was nice but the staff on the front desk were not.

Right where you want to be.

Posted 11-Jul-2015
Pros: Coffee service is pretty unexceptional.
Cons: The in room amenities.
Location: Just around the corner from anything you are looking for.
Such a nice place with a great location and really gracious staff. The room was impeccable, somewhat old school but charming and the front office staff couldn't be more pleasant and professional.

Nothing special

Posted 6-Jul-2015
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: More welcoming staff and better parking facilities/options would have greatly improved our stay.
Location: McGill University, downtown Montreal, St Catherine's street, several bars and restaurants.
Upon check in, we felt as though we were inconveniencing the staff, and desk staff were complaining about having to serve people while we were waiting to check in. They were very unwelcoming. Valet parking is the only option available if you have a vehicle. It is a large fee, and large tips are required in order to get you vehicle in any reasonable amount of time. The parades in the area are probably a better option. The location has great access to the university and many downtown locations. The room itself was average.
