“Stay here when you come to Montreal! We will be back!”
This hotel was newly renovated, nicely decorated with extra comfy beds, and pleasant staff help. There was a problem with our reservation (not their fault), and they accommodated us without incident. The included morning breakfast was delicious and started us out on our day well! It is located in the Latin Quarter district, where it's all happening!
“A Jem in Montreal's Latin Quarter - Great Value”
Located on Rue St Dennis, in the Latin Quarter, this hotel is convenient for all Montreal 15 minutes walk to the Old City, about the same to Mont Real and the shops at McGill - if you like walking that is. Buses also convenient and easy to use, but coins only. Many and varied restaurants close by and in the Old City. It is a B&B Hotel. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and cannot do enough for you - brilliant. Breakfast is a huge spread of fruit, cold meats, croissants, bagels, baguettes with all the trimmings - hot drinks, no hot breakfast. Wireless internet, though a bit variable. Not for everyone. The location is a vibrant, but a bit rough - expect to meet homeless on the streets of the Latin Quarter - it didn't worry us and no apparent threat. Also there is no lift and stairs cannot be avoided, so not for infirm or disabled. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, great location, great staff, good accommodation, excellent value for money.
“A hotel that is like a bed and breakfast”
This was a charming hotel that seemed more like a large bed and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being in the lively neighborhood and thought that by staying at this small hotel, we were able to have a more personal experience in the area. We wish there had been an elevator, because we have knee issues and the stairs were difficult, but otherwise, we loved this hotel.
“what a nice place!”
we found the one to go when we will go to Montreal
“Perfect Location”
My wife and I stopped in Montreal on our way home from a month in Cuba. At the Auberge we encountered helpful, courteous staff and a very comfortable room. Breakfast was modest, but tasty. Free internet use and a great location in the Latin Quarter made the experience excellent. The staff couldn't do enough to help us out.
“great location, good price, nice room”
The hotel is centrally located on a busy street, but the room was at the back of the hotel and therefore quiet. It was a newly renovated room, and very clean. Good value! I would definitely go back.
“Wonderful little b&b”
We spent one night at Auberge le jardin d'Antoine recently, and had a very good experience there. In terms of quality, price, and location, it was a great combination. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great.
“Good Spot, Good Price, Not”
Good location with TONS of restaurants and bars around. Convenient walking distance to many neighborhoods too. However, next time I would stay in Old Montreal or closer to it as that was my favorite. The shower was TINY. The service was friendly. They had a surprisingly big display for breakfast as well.
“Was not really impressed.”
I became ill the first day at this hotel. I called the main desk to request some ice. They did sent ice but charged me $0.57 for the use of the phone to call the front desk. Can you believe that? It wasn't a bad room but it did leave something to be desired especially the shower. My son, who is over 6'5" would not have been able to use it but being my granddaughter & I are small people we did manage to shower and wash our hair which was a challange.
