great value budget accommodation
We had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen area had a fridge, dishwasher and microwave (and small cooker hob which we didn't use). Large comfortable bed, hairdryer in bathroom, television. Wifi was good. Very quiet both during the day day and at night. We were at the back of the building overlooking the courtyard. Helpful staff.

Okay for one night
I would rate this hotel as fair. The beds are very, very uncomfortable - mattresses are very old. In fact, the hotel is pretty dated and not the cleanest place I have every stayed. Decent pool, although no one follows the no smoking signs (it is France, after all). Front desk is marginally helpful.

The only reason this hotel does not get a worse review is because of Valentin. He was the front desk clerk who was amazing. He helped us with all our questions and went above and beyond with accommodating our stay. He was great. On the other hand, the hotel was mediocre. When we arrived the room was not ready. We did not mind since Valentin was very kind and communicated everything with us. The bed was ok in comfort. Our group was four only got one set of sheets. The bathroom only had one tiny soap, tiny body wash and shampoo. We had forgotten our soap so we ask the front desk for a second bar and they told us they had ran out. The shower head did not work properly and we had to take baths instead of showers. The pool is small and nothing to write home about. The breakfast was good. Standard continental breakfast. All in all, I would not stay here again. The best thing about the hotel was the front desk clerk and if it was not for him this ratting would be much lower.

Location was excellent. Close to tram and access to places very good. Cleanliness was not adequate. Pool hours not explained or communicated. Breakfast - good selection and staff were pleasant.

There is need for improvement; for example, my check-in time was 2pm, but my room was not ready at the time stated. I was not taken to my room by a member of staff, I had to look for my room. Some facilities were out of order, I could not use some of them because I was not shown how to, in fact I was not able to watch the TV because there was no English channel etc..... This are issues that can be corrected if staff took guests to their rooms and given a general introduction.

Personel was very kind. Conor Dune at the reception was the best and always ready to help. The apt has everything we needed but the location is faraway from business center. However it was good for the praise.

Beware of this place, it is NOT a hotel.
This is not a place I would recommend to anyone. Our five night stay for four adults in the suite went from bad to worse pretty soon. When we asked for towels and to we were told it want provided because this was a apartment rental, not a hotel. This was not stated explicitly on the website or Expedia, and we felt this accomidation misrepresented themselves to clients. Pros: 1. The staff is courteous 2. Breakfast is good, standard french fare but fresh and plentiful. Cons: 1. For a four person suite we had two sets of towels which were never replaced during our five night stay. 2. We were refused toilet paper during our stay. 3. Elevators are very slow 4. WiFi is spotty and very slow 5. Room keys get demagnitized very often 6. Rooms are small and very tight for four adults 7. The bathroom shower is very inconvinient- the shower head was only about 30% open when we checked in. The lack of a shower curtain meant you had to squeeze into a tight corner to avoid the entire bathroom from getting wet. 8. The evening before we were to check out, the toilet stopped flushing but it wasn't fixed because no maintenance staff was available. We would have appreciated some alternative (eg making another toilet avaialable). 9. Our room was facing the train station and it got extremely loud later into the night. 10. Although we were assured of one mid-stay cleaning, we never got it. 11. We had to clean and throw out our trash. Overall an extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable stay.

Enjoyable stay
The residence is well located, the transports, the centre and the river nearby. Had a walk at night by the river which was lovely. The studio allocated was quiet, perfect to get a proper rest. Also the small swimming pool on the roof. The staff was friendly at the reception and also at the restaurant.

Stayed two nights in this hotel and we were very disappointed. Would only give this hotel a one star rating. The room smelt damp, the shower sprayed water everywhere - air conditioning didn't work - curtains were falling off their rail - Car park was very difficult to locate (luckily got to park around the corner and get directions and code to open the door from staff) - However, being beside the tram was convenience for travelling the few stops into the centre of Montpellier. Will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Comfortable and great location
This is a great hotel--my room was big and sunny, there's a pool, and it's a direct streetcar ride to the train station and downtown. The neighborhood is full of new buildings and by the river.

Friendly staff and central location
Friendly, helpful front office staff. Breakfast was a bit slow in refilling empty platters. Atrocious parking lot - be extra careful when parking if you don't want to scratch your car. Location is excellent - close to tram stations but it can be noisy at night. The staff are the best part if this hotel - helpful, friendly and take initiatives in order to make your stay enjoyable.

Convenient hotel close to tram network with easy access around Montpellier. Buy the family ticket currently 5 Euros 80 for up to 5 people even if there are only 2 of you on the trams. They are valid for a 24 hour period from first use on the tram.

Good location to explore the new part of the city (near city hall) without breakibg the bank. Clean but very basic and bed really needs to be changed. Wouldn't go back but I guess it's fair for the price.

Our stay was okay but it's far from the best apartment or hotel we've rented. The room was clean but was I need of updating. All the fixtures and finishing we're pretty low quality. They expect you to clean the kitchen and dishes if you use it but don't provide any soap, clothes, towels or sponges. Between that and making you take out your own garbage it leaves a bit of a sour taste from the stay. There's not much of anything nearby. The tram stop is right outside the front entrance and about a 12 minute ride from the main train station which is convenient. It wasn't a bad stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there again.

Crap hotel
Advertised as having wifi but it doesn't work in the hotel rooms. You are expected to remove your own rubbish from the room at check out. There is no room cleaning service or bed making. On the whole this is a pretty disappointing place and needs a renovation desperately. It is more like a large apartment building and you rent small apartments.

Bring your own toilet paper and dishsoap
The staff was friendly and location was great, but their were weird rules like having to wash your dishes and take out the trash before you check out by 10am, even though the trash bin was hard to find and they do not provide dish soap. But the rooftop pool was very nice and overall it was a good value for the price.

Excellent Value
I travelled to Montpellier to see Munster take on Clermont. It was a very busy weekend for Montpellier so hotel prices were at a premium. Seeing as it was only €180 for an apartment that sleeps 3 adults for 2 nights, I wasn't expecting much and to be honest, I got what I expected when I entered the hotel... The lobby and surrounding areas were well below average. HOWEVER, the staff at reception were very friendly, helpful and they spoke excellent english and the room was also a pleasant surprise. It was very clean and served it's purpose very well. So overall, it done the important things very well at an excellent price

Good place to live as in your own room
I've booked a studio room. Room was clean, had kitchen with oven, microwave oven, fridge, electric kettle, dish washing machine and kitchen appliances (plates, pans, etc.) required to cook something. Everything was clean and in good condition. Staff is friendly, everyone speaks at least 3 languages (French, English, Spanish). Breakfast, which I've booked previously was buffet, and you'll be able to eat as much as you want. Food included yogurts, croissants, bread, milk, corn flakes, cheese, butter, different types of jams, honey. There was coffee machine, which was able to produce 8 types of coffee, cacao, and tea. There was juice machine, which fills your cup with either multi-fruit or orange juice (you choose, which one). Hotel is in good location. Carefour supermarket is near (boy at the reception showed me where, without any requests from my side). Moulares tram station is right at the hotel door. 2 tram lines pass through that station, so there is no problems to reach to town center or to other locations. Place de la Comedie and Gare de Roch are in 20 minutes walk. The only downside was that its up to you to keep room clean, to empty trash, etc. and hotel staff do not change towels every day (for studio-type room, I think). Maybe you can request to change the towels or to clean the room, but I didn't tried.

Madame Vacances-Les Consuls De La Mer
Pros: The room was reasonably priced. The reception staff were brilliant. i would give them 10/10. All incredibly friendly and helpful. My easyjet flight was cancelled and the staff called the airline to transfer my flight booking, checked me into a new room at short notice and sent me receipts to my email so I could claim the money back from the airline. Also they helped answer all my tourism questions and provided me with a map with directions. The roof pool was nice, and I used it every day including sun chairs. Cons The double room has a nice comfortable bed but I found the studio with couch and fold-out bed less comfortable. The shower hose doesn't have a wall attachment so I found that a little troublesome. The windows are small which makes the rooms a little dark. Also the rooms aren't cleaned daily so by the third day it really needed a clean.

Not 3 star! Don't bother!
To sum up. These apartments are basic and cheap. That's it. I will never stay there again. The place was dirty and stank of cigarette smoke everywhere. There were loads of teenagers staying there. The room itself is one of the worst I've stayed in. No proper shower, stained carpets. Not three star at all. You're in the modern part of Montpellier too which has absolutely no charm at all. I recommend staying in the old city centre where the real charm is. We never needed our kitchen as all restaurants were cheap and good.

It's a decent enough hotel if you're on a tight budget, but don't expect anything special! The rooms need to be refreshed - bathrooms especially, since although clean etc need a bit of a design re-think. And our balcony looked over a building site! But all in all, we got what we paid for, and it's really easy to get the tram into town (10 mins) from right outside.

Slightly out of town but still worth a stay
This is my 3rd visit to this property and I am very satisfied by the service/value that it provides. The property is slightly out of town but Montpellier has an excellent transport system and there is a tram stop right outside that will take you to the centre of town. It is also a nice walk, about 25 minutes. The room was clean, and the kitchen had reasonable facilities, the pillows were not of good quality however. The internet was free of charge but rather than using a password, required a login everytime you go to use it. There is no daily cleaning service, which is fine for a stay of up to seven days, but we were forced to extend our stay due to the volcanic ash crisis and despite staying an extra four nights the management refused to freshen up our room with clean bedding and towels without a surcharge. The property is in a nice neighbourhood, popular with students. and has a couple of small grocery stores but no nightlife or restaurants, these are plentiful in the main part of town though. There is a large supermarket now open in the large Odyseum entertainment/shopping complex a quick tram ride away

Very basic hotel and room. Had the feel of government housing. Room smelled horrible, had to keep windows open all night. Bathroom had shower/tub but a glass door that covered maybe 1 foot of the tub, so shower was not an option. Kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils and dishes ect. but no dishsoap, towels, paper towels. Had to take garbage out in the morning.

Good Hotel
The hotel was located next to the trams so very handy to get into the centre of Montmellier. The trams didn't keep us awake which was an initial concern when seeing how close we were to the station. Our appartment had 2 rooms + balcony so worked well as the children were able to go to bed before us. Kids loved the small pool on the roof.

Basic aparthotel but great location.
This is a good place to stay if you are looking for a self catering apatment with no frills at a very reasonable price. I like the facility of making a coffee when I want to. There is a restaurant but no one seemed to use it. The pool is small but nice if you want to cool down.A small supermarket 8 mins walk away. Tram to Historic centre right outside but you can take a pleasant walk in about 15 minutes. Restaurants and bar 10 mins away. Nice view of the river and we had a balcony which was small but nice. Quite a busy street so expect traffic noise. Parking is available depending on the amount of guests - if full it is almost impossible to park in this area though there are some meters which are quite expensive so try to reserve a parking place with the hotel. Also have to leave a refundable deposit as they check your room as you check out for any damage and to see the kitchen is clean but we had no problem with this. They say they are NOT a hotel so therefore only provide the rooms and basics - no bed changeing of linen or towels or extra loo roll once the one they provide has gone! All in all we had a pleasant stay here.

Value for money
The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the pool was great in the hot weather. The tram stop is directly outside the hotel and great for getting about. Family ticket (for between 1 and 5 people) only 5.30 euros and allows travel all day. The only downside was that we were unable to check into our room until 5pm - not so good when you arrive at 10am. Would happily stay there again.

Good place to stay
We had paid a very low price for 2 studios at this Residence so we were not sure what to expect. In fact it was fine. The place was clean, the accomodation was mostly fine, the staff helpful, and the pool was good. The tram to town was very good. Our only reservation was that one of the studios had a fold out bed which had only a thin mattress and was rather uncomfortable. The same studio faced the road and was rather noisy. The other studio was very quiet and the (proper) bed very comfortable. It would appear that these studios came in pairs, with one being usable as a sitting area (the fold out bed one) and the other as a proper bedroom.

do not take a car
we had a tortuous route finding the hotel as an adjacent road had been closed which threw the satnav into confusion and meant drivng over the river twice to get to the hotel. there is an underground car park for 5 euros a day but be warned - it is not for the faint hearted. the bends are extremely tight and steep. being allocated to level two below ground we only managed to get out with much wheelspin and clouds of rubber smoke. forget it if your handbrake is poor. and another thing - small cars only. having said that the hotel was very good. staff were very welcoming. rooms were clean and quiet and had the benefit of a small kitchen. buffet breakfast was basic but adequate and could be taken inside or in the garden. as a bonus there is a rooftop pool for guests. the hotel is located east just outside the city in the modern business area. outside the door is Moulares tram stop, about 10 minutes to the city. the tram system is excellent. 2.4 euros return to the city and 3.50 euros for an all day ticket. we would happily go back.
