I enjoyed staying here the rooms are like new, the Ac snd heater work really well, my room was cleaned everyday, I didn’t have to ask. They don’t offer a hot breakfast like other days inn, but there’s so many places that are walking distance. I loved my morning view. It is definitely a place to stay at an affordable price.

The shower didn’t drain. I was standing in an inch of water by the end. The proprietor didn’t tell me there was free Wi-Fi. I had to ask the second day and he told me where to find the password. The room was very spartan, no frills, no coffee pot. The pillows were folded inside a pillow case. They were hard as a rock until I took them out of the case, unfolded them and put the case back on.

Great price but lights were burnt out outside our door and when I called front desk- they had no one to fix it. A little bit unsafe for coming back late. Good location and parking was great. Elevator was old and probably needs to be fixed because we went down and door never fully closed.

Staff was very nice. Room was clean. Only con was no drinking water machine access as we were in the building across the street and office was closed at 7am when we tried to get to their water machine.

The walls are pretty thin and the shower is small. My key card disconnected beacuse it was near my phone. So beware of that. Overall it was safe and comfortable.

The pillows were squared and hard. The beds were sitting on a metal base that squeaked every time you moved. The bathroom was tiny, I could barely move around in it. For reference I am only 5ft 3in and 130 lbs. My daughter’s bed had hair on her sheets and the linens were stained. There are two seperate buildings with poor signage. We struggled to find our room.

Small Mom and Pop feel - friendly staff, limited hours and services, but in good condition, no issues. Easy to walk to coffee shops and cafes, walking distance to San Carlos Cathedral, historic adobes and Fisherman's Wharf. 6 minutes or so drive to Point Lobos Park, Asilomar, Cannery Row, and 17 mile drive

Nice clean , quiet room. Oh yeah, view of the ocean ! Only issue is the drawer between the beds- a person can easily be cut from the drawer "handle".

Good price, clean room
The room was very nice and clean. The towel rack was missing on our first day, but the room cleaners installed it the next day. The location is great - very close to downtown Monterey - walkable to Trader Joes and Alvarado St. Beds were comfortable. We did have some issues with our key cards not working properly, and the placement of the mini fridge wasn't great (right next to the door in a tight little spot). The amenities were passable. Office was locked at 7:15 am when I went to check out, but they have a key card drop.
