Room is clean, the bed is nice, we have a tiny fridge so they have must comply my request when i booked to have a fridge. No microwave though and it has been a new trend i’m guessing, hotels don’t equip their rooms with such.

The hotel was easy to get to, we could walk to all shopping and dining (not to the beach/ocean) and it provides parking. The manager was friendly and rooms were remodeled and clean. Other than included breakfast which is nice, not much amenities but for the price it was a great place to stay!

Overall, very satisfied. Not excellent though because the room we were in is too noisy. We are at the corner room but the side rooms I believe is the storage/ laundry room/ generator room. Anyhow, the machines are are loud and noisy. We also heard heavy steps because we are near/ under the stairs. Maybe if we are in different room location it would be better.

Cannot have a restful night's sleep when other guests leave the bathroom light and fan on all night. Walls are thin and the low humming noise from the fan reverberates throughout the complex.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is in a PERFECT location. Market/deli with the best tri tip sandwich, outdoor plaza all within 3 minutes walking. Beach was 10 minute walk. Property is clean and quaint. Beds were not comfortable...way too hard. That was the only negative.

No Surprises. I've stayed here before. It's a nice place and I like the location. Nice restaurants and easy walking nearby. I often get a sandwich at the deli next door for whatever my outing is. Waterflow etc, in the shower and bathroom is above average.

Worthy of an A- letter grade
This motel isn't anything fancy, but it is certainly more than I would expect for lower-priced accommodations in a popular tourist spot. Very clean, very conveniently located, and well maintained. Fantastic staff. And, a free breakfast that is definitely more than your typical Entenmanns and instant coffee offering of smaller sites. The only nitpick is that parking can be a bit of a challenge if you go back to your room late -- although this was on a weekend night for us. If needed, you'll find parking offisite, but you may have to walk an extra quarter block or more (which, given the area where this motel is located [Carmel], is not a big deal).

The location and included parking were why we chose this location and both were great features. The location is perfect for walking to Carmel's shopping and restaurants. The beach is only a 10 min walk and it's a 10 minute drive from Monterey airport. The area is great and felt very safe. The outdoor seating area was much appreciated and we used it to gather with others in our group. The breakfast was basically a very simple continental, plus scrambled eggs and sausage. The cons are no soundproofing in rooms - we heard everything from our neighbors and felt like they were in the room with us. People walking by were very close and it was very loud. The rooms have little air circulation and no A/C, so when it's warm the rooms are hot and stuffy. All in all, fine for what we wanted, but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a romantic, private stay.
