“chaminade x-mas”
room was spacious and comfy and overall super pleasant and calming. room service food was outstanding!
“relaxing holiday getaway”
when thanksgiving arrived and no one felt like cooking or even driving to grandma's house, chaminade came to the rescue. i had received info on their holiday buffet and holiday discounts and jumped at the opportunity -- i had been wanting to go there for some time. the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. the first room we were placed in was not easy for me to get to as it was up stairs and i am disabled. one call to the front desk sent a staffer in a minivan to escort us to our new room. i was very impressed with this, because i know that they were booked to capacity on that day. the holiday buffet was divine and no one (not even our 8 year old vegetarian) was disappointed. the room itself was nicely appointed and fit well with the surrounding santa cruz mountains. i cannot wait to get back to the chaminade!!!
“I will definitely stay here again.”
The only thing missing was a refrigerator.
“Hotel Gem in the mountains of Santa Cruz”
This hotel/spa was 2 miles up the hill from Hwy 1 near Soquel. The resort was all it was said to be. Fitness area was FANTASTIC. I took Yoga class (no extra charge) on Saturday morning which was great. Spa area smelled great and very serene. The Koi pond overlooking the mountains and valley was beautiful. The three of us 36 year girlfriends have been doing these yearly getaways to reconnect and we gave it 4.5 stars. Would have been 5 stars but the girl at the front desk was so not friendly or helpful. Wish I knew her name. Otherwise, outdoor pool was nice. Full sand volleyball court, tennis courts. We had a very active weekend. Riding our bikes through Soquel neighborhoods to the coast and up to Natural Bridges State Park. Drinks on the boardwalk on the way back. What a great day
“A PEARL INSIDE AN OYSTER”
My stay there was awesome. It has a nice nature setting and very peaceful. l loved the bed. It had to be one of the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. The room I stayed was small however, it was very clean and well maintained. The sorronding area was magnificent. It is close to the Pier were the ambiance is great and the food and shopping is excellent. I will definetly go back again..
“Nice spa atomsphere”
It's really the only hotel in the Santa Cruz area that's worth staying at.
“We love Chaminade”
Chaminade has something for everyone and all ages- pool, full gym, tennis, spa, jacuzzi, steam, restaurants onsite, basketball hoops, hiking/running trails from the resort, ping pong, and really nice staff and rooms. Close access down the hill to Capitola and Santa Cruz- great eating, shopping & beaches. Love this place! We've been back many times.
“Great Laid-Back Resort for Business Retreat or Family Getaway”
The drive up to the hotel is lined with giant trees. It's beautiful. You first drive by a series of buildings which house hotel rooms, the centrally-located pool and fitness/spa building. A great restaurant is in the main hotel building, overlooking the countryside and the sea. We had a wonderful dinner there. It's a very relaxed place. The rooms are spacious, decorated in a contemporary style, very comfortable and quiet. Ours looked into the forest. The fitness room is quite well appointed. Some people may not like the idea of walking up to two blocks from the main building to their hotel room, but you can ask the valet for a ride in a shuttle cart. Seems like a lot of families were there when we were. It's a nice place to let the kids (and you) have a little space and just hang out.
“Great resting place”
In the summer Santa Cruz is very noisy and busy (and expensive). This is a first class hotel and spa and it is in the hills overlooking Santa Cruz and a quick drive out of the crowds to a great place to rest. Will return!!
“A Real Bargain Considering All The Service!”
This was a business trip but I am now looking for an excuses to come back. Great for family vacation or reunion. From busy Santa Cruz you head up a steep driveway lined with tall trees to a secluded new world atop a hill over looking the town and ocean. Allow extra time to take in all they have to offer.
