Composed of a historic Victorian mansion joined with a modern boutique inn, this family-friendly Best Western hotel is less than a half-mile from Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The Victorian Inn hosts a complimentary local wine and cheese reception every afternoon in the parlor, from 4.30 PM to 5.30 PM (hours subject to change). The parlor is also the setting for a complimentary daily Continental breakfast. Complimentary coffee is available in the lobby.
A meeting room is available, and wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the inn. The front desk provides business services, photocopying, and faxing (surcharge).
This is a smoke-free property (fines may apply for violations).

The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area.
Recreation
The hotel's Monterey Bay location provides recreational options that include surfing, fishing, boating, and scuba diving. A paved path along the Monterey Peninsula offers miles of walking and biking. Seventeen golf courses are within 15 miles of the hotel, including the 18-hole courses Pebble Beach Golf Links, 2.5 miles away, and Poppy Hills Golf Course, four miles from the hotel.

“I would go back”
I took my elderly parent there for a night. Very comfortable, clean, and good location. The gas fireplace in the room was delightful. The continental breakfast was closer to a very nice and very extensive buffet. The beds were short, which is not an issue for me but could be for others. I don't know if other rooms have longer beds.
“Good place for families”
Good place to stay with easy access to the aquarium, restaurants, as advertised. Breakfast absolutely okay, though nothing to go crazy about. Recommended on all fronts.
“Great Value in Great Location”
Room was incredibly cute with lots of nice touches - the fireplace with a nice flatscreen mounted above it; the oversized sitting chairs; etc. Overall a nice and unique alternative to a traditional boxy building and room. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was good, though not great. The real seller is the location with very short walks to all the sights of Monterey and to a lot of great places to eat (recommend the Cannery Row Brewing Company, in particular their Amber Ale. A bit pricey for food but great ambiance.) On the downside - they do charge for underground parking, but even with that included, this still was one of the cheapest options. Also, the walls tended to be a bit thin - I didn't notice but my girlfriend said it woke her up a few times. Overall, loved the place, especially at the price, and would definitely stay again.
“Pleasant experience”
I had wanted a reasonably priced hotel located near Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It provided this and more. The wine and crackers during the early evening hours was a very nice touch. The continental breakfast was also good with variety of choices. For the price, this is a good value.
“Would definately stay there again”
Lovely hotel, great location (walking distance to the aquarium & Cannery Row) and great service - can't ask for more! Yet they also provide a wonderful complimentary breakfast (muffins, bagels, cereals, juice, & coffee) and a wine and cheese hour in the late afternoon. Certainly well worth the money spent, the staff is cheerful and helpful and the experience was A+.
“Another Monterey Treasure!”
The Victorian Inn was a wonderful surprise. It's a little gem tucked away in close proximity to many of Monterey's top attractions. Would definitely stay there again and happy to recommend it to others.

Room was nice fireplace was a great touch, bed was comfortable, staff was helpful and friendly. I would say continental breakdfast is and understatement. I would say it was a mini breakfast buffet, very good. Centrally located withing walking distance to Aquarium, ocean and Cannery Row.
“Fan from Meadow Vista, California”
The Victoria Inn was situated in the perfect location, close to the aquarium and half mile to the Fisherman's Wharf! It's also within walking distance of a convenience store if you need any amenities that you've forgotten or need supplies for the refrigerator. Staff were very cordial and helpful, the room was clean, and the price we paid was exceptional! The continental breakfast was enjoyable as well. Our room faced Foam Street so if you are a light sleeper, you need to request a room in the back of the hotel - not in the front. We're heavy sleepers so it didn't bother us. We can't wait to go back again - same time next year!
“For the price it's great!”
For the price this hotel was satisfying. It is close (walking distance) to Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, as well as several really good restaurants.
