“Can't Wait to Go Back”
Best Vacation Ever! My husband and I went to Jamaica a few years ago and stayed in Ocho Rios. We swore we would never go back. However, we let two couples persuade us to give it another shot. The resort was fantastic. It was quiet and relaxing with a beautiful beach. We were on the beach around 8 am every morning and had no problem getting lounge chairs. Would not recommend waiting until late morning though as you may not find one. The room was great (comfortable and clean). The staff was very friendly. My husband did the breakfast buffet every morning while I went and grabbed the lounge chairs. He said it was one of the best breakfast buffets he's ever been to. We ate at the Seaside Grill every day for lunch. There wasn't a ton of variety but the food was good. Unlike most resorts, you did not need to have reservations for dinner. There are five different restaurants (mexican, jamaican, italian, asian and french). We walked in to each one with no wait whatsoever. We have been to Puerto Rico, Aruba (twice), Cancun, Cozumel, Dominican Republic and Jamaica (twice). This was our favorite trip and are definitely planning to go back. We went the week of November 22, 2010. The water was a bit cold to get in but fine once you were in (did not swim in the swimming pools). If you are tall like we are, the water is not very deep especially at low tide (waist high). Also if you are tall, highly recommend paying the extra money for the extra legroom seats on Jet Blue Air. Well worth it!

Beautiful! Awesome! Amazing service! Clean pool and beach! Almost empty in early June - not crowded at all!!! Food was okay, Jamaican restaurant is the best, followed by the Asian one. Book a reservation to get a fresh cooked meal. Everything was outstanding - maybe best place ever visited!

Close to airport. Hotel is beautiful. Loved balcony, view, stocked minibar. Bedding was so comfortable. Shower was awesome with two types of shower heads. Did not use the jacuzzi tub. Ocean was warmer than the unheated pool and crystal clear. Shoreline was very well maintained. Room amenities include sunscreen (15SPF) that was a very good protectant and product. Staff were friendly. Service was prompt. Tried French restaurant. Excellent steak. Jamaican served delicious pork dish. First time sliced center cuts, second time cut up pieces of pork ends. Buffets diverse. Really enjoyed breakfast egg selections. Mimosas or Bloody Marys every AM. Drinks served in generous sized glasses. Pilsners for Red Stripe! The red wine at the French place was delicious. The grounds may be young but very attractive. Spa is excellent. Deep tissue masage then use of the steam room and dry sauna and the water therapy showers and pools. Very cool. The swimup bar is a heated pool. While we did not take avail of this popular pastime, it was obvious that many enjoyed it, never leaving the pool-all day long! Music is Reggae 24/7, sometimes loud, other times not so much, which we preferred.The setup of the two hotels puts the restaurants closer to Wild Orchid, but not a big deal. The angle of the hotels puts Wild Orchid in better view of sunsets and outdoor music entertainment. The band we heard was great. Weather fantastic. Really enjoyed our stay. Would go back in a heartbeat! No problem, mon.

Great overall experience. I has a 'Preferred Jr Suite Ocean View' and it was great, but I saw a std room and it wasn't a lot different. A few other amenities in the Preferred buildings though. I stayed 9 days.. every one enjoyable. Awesome staff site wide (Bell/Concierce, Front Desk, Cleaning, Servers are all awesome). The "official" cabs are a bit of a gouge, and in my view the chain should have shuttles (in Cancun also). St James is not convenient for golf as the really nice courses are 40 minutes away minimum (without traffic - go early). Beach is great.. pools are too. GREAT servers (staff) in every bar and restaurant. Good entertainment when the band was playing - very talented (dim the lights tho please!!). The disco 'Desires' was often very slow (yawn), but lots of friendly people around the piano bar. I'd return to this resort without hesitation.
“Honeymoon”
Place was so welcoming and so inviting. Staff was very courteous and friendly and never asked for a tip even though it is courteous to give one. Food was pretty decent for all inclusive, and the drinks were pretty good as well. Don't expect amazing food and drinks, but the quality was definitely good. There were a lot of options. There were a lot of activites to do on the resort as well as hotel sponsored tours and such. We did the dreamer sunset cruise and the chukka canopy zip line, both were amazing.
“GO BACK IN A HEARTBEAT YA MON”
WE GOT TO RESORT CHECK IN VERY FAST ROOM WAS THE BEST GREAT VEIW MR, MEANY WAS GREAT BELLMAN GARFEILD IS #1 OUR HOUSE KEPPER CLAUDIA THE BEST FOOD EVERY PLACE WE ATE WAS GREAT STACY FRIM EL PATIO IS THE BEST SERVER BEACH THE BEST ROOM SERVICE VERY FAST ALL AND ALL A #10 VACATION ON THE SCALE WE WILL BE BACK FROM THE GENERAT STEVE FROM COLCHESTER CT.
“Can't wait to return home”
When we first for there, the staff said "Welcome home!" . I thought it was strange at the time but after my 6 night stay that's how I came to view this place. It was wonderful, luxurious, and I can't wait to return.

One of the best vacations y wife and I have ever been on. The staff was awesome, the rooms are elegant and have great views and the food and drinks where top notch. Lots of great restaurants to chose from and a hand full of places to drink at. There is a club that plays really good music a piano bar and some of the pools have swim up bars. The landscaping and beaches are clean and kept in great shape. I highly recommend this resort for honeymoons, anniversaries or for a relaxing getaway. We met a lot of cool people there who were also vacationing.
