Pool too big not enough bars near pool and no wait staff at pool. No accessible food or snacks at pool. Not allowed to remove food from restaurant. Overall not bad but not one of the better places. Beaches were not beautiful just ok. Next time we will take the drive and stay at negril for the beautiful white sand beaches.

Elevators don't work, pools are broken (it's tough to get spare parts in a third world country). Menus are filthy, placemats smell, etc. The staff was earnest but not terribly skilled. Construction quality wasn't good, and materials were substandard. The sushi bar was great. Snorkeling was pretty good. I probably wouldn't feel comfortable bringing children to a third world country. Traffic is scary, the vehicles are jury rigged, and the emergency medical system is rough.

Disappointing service, highly overrated-not 4-star

Pros: The food and entertainment

Location: Direct access to the beach because of location, however the the beach cannot be compared to Negril Reasonably priced good quality local art work
The over all experience was very disappointing, the service was below standard for a hotel that is supposedly 4-star rated. Grand palladium is a very large hotel covering a large area on the coast but the rooms are in disrepair and the staff has little supplies / resources for repairs. Our first night was a nightmare, there were so many issues with our room that we were unable to get to bed until approximately 1am- the room was not well prepared, the sofa bed was of poor quality and uncomfortable, the shower head was broken, the water cooler was broken and no drinking water available in the room and our requests for service were not honored in a timely manner. At our request we were transferred to another room by the next day. Management was not very responsive to our concerns, the supervisor was rigid ,insensitive and not very accommodating. Reservation was not well handle-we were penalized due to miss-communication with the agent resulting in us paying full rate at check-in for an added guest, when our reservation package clearly showed a much lower rate. In a hotel where customer service is priority, charge for the horrific first night would have been waived or at least discounted. Also the poolside side service centers ran out of beach towels daily by 12 .Better management recommended and much service improvement is required. On a positive note the food was excellent, entertainment was good and in general the staff was pleasant and helpful

Love, love, love this resort

We have stayed at the grand palladium Jamaica 3 times in the last 4 yrs!! We love it here!! Everyone is friendley and very welcoming . My husband and I absolutely love this resort and plan on revisiting it again once the kids pool is finished ( my three children would love this place , maybe just as much as my husband and I do) we have stayed at many grand palladium chains through out the Caribbean and had a fabulous time every time!! People who complain about the little stuff obviously don't travel often enough!!! Staff and grounds are kept very clean and nice , rooms are spacious with amazing views , food was great ( even better when I'm not the one cooking !!!) entertainment was exceptional !!! All around romantic , relaxing , and fun loving atmosphere !!! I look forward to coming back!!!

Great hotel. Not the greatest beaches

Pros: friendliest staff ever! spa was nice. had a 2 for 1 massage! pool is large, just deep enough, and warm!
Cons: I don't think anything could really be improved for me. Well the pillows. the beach is going to be the same no matter what.
We are all about a beach vacation and a great beach. We stayed on the Jamaica side and that has rougher beaches. next time i would definitely stay on the lady hamilton side. Rooms were nice. sheets always felt damp as it was so humid. pillows are rock hard. finally on the 2nd or 3rd day it got really cool like we like it in the room. bathrooms great. Breakfast buffet was standard for all inclusive. Dinners were standard for all inclusive. Nothing to special but definitely good! included water sports were nice. Catamaran cruise to ricks cafe on wednesday and saturdays is a must!

The hotel needs work.

The lobby and the restaurants were in great condition but the actual building we stayed in needs renovations. The tv channels weren't clear. The bath tub we couldn't used because it wasn't clean. We just used the shower. Our bed sheets weren't changed and we stayed there for four nights.

Hotel staff is super friendly and accommodating; the beaches are all beautiful and the pools are cleaned throughout the day. The rooms are spacious but my boyfriend and other hotel guests felt the pillows were too hard. You cannot manipulate the AC in your room and while the air is kept at a comfortable level your body needs time to adjust to the temperature. There are NO elevators and the rooms are not connected to the lobby and dining areas so make sure you are aware of how far your bedroom villa is located. The food is delish - absolutely NO complaints except that... there is NO room service. If you drink Johnny Black or Hennessy, these liquors are not available on the resort. Heinekens are only served in one lounge. Overall, we had a great time with having the opportunity to relax in the resort, party at night and visit and hang out with locals. You will enjoy this stay.

It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay the food and drinks was good and plentiful the only set back was the beach need to get some of the rocks out of the water.
