Great family friendly resort

Posted 19-May-2015
I was pleasantly satisfied, customer service was stellar, restaurants were spot on and heavy handed in a good way with libations :) The only drawback was some of the "hot" items on the buffet bar was luke warm. But of you asked one of the employees to heat up or to replenish items, they were very accomodating.

Jamaica me crazy

Posted 18-May-2015
Hotel was great. Very friendly staff. They do need to play music by pool and make us feel like we on vacation. The boogie nightclub very nice decor but for some reason it was never crowded :( The room where nice and big, but the toilet was not as clean as it needed to be ---villa 12-1205 was my room. It was my mother's birthday and they never brought no complimentary goodies like they said they will :( that was disappointed. The buffet has to change their breakfast menu, don't think I wanted to eat the same thing every day.

A Great Week

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: Very spacious. Great layout. Many facilities, such as pools and exercise facilities.
Cons: Not too much. As I enjoy a good ale, preferably microbrews, beer choices other than Red Stripe, Guiness, and Budwiser would be appreciated
Location: Several tour groups at the hotel to provide a wide variety of activities throughout Jamaica. See note above on our two all day tours. Mel
Great flight from Norfolk through Atlanta to Montego Bay. Easy entry to country. Private auto ride to hotel with a very pleasant drover, Very relaxing week at the hotel with many amenities. Took two all day tours (zip line; rafting; rum factory; river cruise, etc.). We were on the "All Inclusive" plan with complimenary food and beverages. The buffet offered numerous excellent food choices to satisfy anyone's culinary preferences for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also dined at several of the restaurants instead of the buffets, and the food choices were good. However, we found that the meats served in the restaurants seemed to be overcooked and dry. We preferred the seafood choices. One of the tours we took, the zip line, involved some rather strenuous, although short, hill climbs, and in our group caused a near fainting spell in one participant and some serious fatigue in others. No precautions were noted in the literature or by the tour salesperson. Ask about any physical requirements before booking a tour.

lost luggage

Posted 18-May-2015
luggage was lost but the airline we spent a day and a half without anything to wear the hotel would not help as us we had to buy everything out of pocket . we were told we would be reimbursed by the hotel or the airline but neither one reimbursed us . The hotel kept getting us to try to buy vacation package and when they found out we weren't interested they became more detached and more rude. The hotel kept getting us to try to bite vacation package and when they found out we weren't interested they became more detached and more rude

Will definitely be going back!

Posted 16-May-2015
My spouse and I enjoyed every part of this resort from the spa to the variety of restaurants to the nightly entertainment, I have to say I was truly impressed. The staff were very friendly and eager to please which made our vacation so much more smoother and enjoyable. The food was amazing especially with all the different choices of 10 restaurants. The all inclusive was definitely the way to go. The only downside I can think of was that the beds were hard and uncomfortable. But other than that, I would have to rate this resort with five stars. Will definitely be going back!

Pictures do not do this place justice

Posted 15-May-2015
Pros: The entire experience was seamless, staff always made sure we were taken care of. The resort was beautiful and entertainment top notch.
Cons: I found it odd the staff all has to wear hair nets. Not sure entirely necessary.
Location: High recommend the Chukka zip lining and river tubing combo - great day off resort with all transportation included!
I just came back from a vacation with two of my girlfriends and cannot say enough about our wonderful experience in Jamaica. Pictures online of this resort do not do it justice. The Infinity pool is amazing surrounded by palm trees and over looking the ocean. It is really the largest pool I have ever been in. Around the pool, we never had an issue getting lounge chairs either in the sun or under a canopy - very different than other resorts we've visited. While the beaches are definitely shorter than others, again, never an issue getting a chair and there were so many options we could mix it up every day. They also provide a ton of included water activities (paddle boards, kayaks, peddle boats, etc). The food was above average I'd say. It's important to note, it's not 5* dining, but we really enjoyed all the options. We were able to have our breakfast buffet at the open air restaurant or indoors if we chose. Of the a-la-carte restaurants, our favorites were the steak house and mexican. They do not take reservations so my suggestion is going early if we want to eat before 8/9pm. Our room was pretty much as expected - 2 double beds and a pullout couch. Nothing overly fancy but it did the job for us. We had a wonderful ocean view and were in close proximity to everything on the resort. The staff was incredible - from check in to check out and all our meals and evening activities, I cannot say enough good things about the people working here.

Nice pool/close to the beach

Posted 13-May-2015
My experience was mediocre. I love the food and all but the staff was horribly rude and nasty. Imagine you paid all this money to enjoy yourself and some stupid people try to mess it up by their nastiness and their ugly attitude. I regretted ever staying there. I will also post a review on trip advisor. And also tell people to stay away. The only person that was nice is a lady named Kenesha in the creole restaurant(i think the restaurant is called Xaimacan or something) other than that everyone was nasty from the service desk to the maid. Well i will never go back to Jamaica because of that and i will make sure other people stay away. Dominican Republic is the way to go. They know how to welcome guest. Bad experience with grand palladium in Jamaica.
