Séjour correct mais pas pour y retourner
Bons points: 1) le déjeuner inclus est bon et varié 2) le wifi est bon et assez rapide (comparé à d'autres hôtels) 3) parking inclus 4) endroit assez calme 5) proximité de plusieurs activités, dont la rue des touristes, appelée la "hip strip" où l'on trouve tout à acheter comme souvenirs, restos, etc 6) et la plage est justement sur la "hip strip", doctor's cave beach, l'hôtel donne des laissers passer 1 fois aux 2 jours. Mauvais points : 1) en général les gens de l'accueil sont très froids et ils sont impersonnels, peu souriants. Une seule préposée sur 4 a été un peu chaleureuse, les autres non 2) la chambre qu'on nous a d'abord attribuée n'avait de toute évidence pas été vérifiée avant, car le plancher était sale, air climatisé seulement au 2e étage (les chambres sont au 2e pour une suite à deux chambres) donc au 1e plancher il fait chaud ! Poêle et four ne fonctionnait pas 3) au final on a demandé de changer de chambre car l'escalier pour monter aux chambres était trop dangereux pour ma fille de 1 an sans compter les problèmes relatés au point précédent 4) on a perdu l'électricité plusieurs fois, en général ça ne dure pas longtemps par contre

Bel hotel, bien organisé, suite spacieuse avec coin salon et cuisine, le wifi est relativement bon contrairement à d'autres hôtels, on le perd par moment mais ca revient, le déjeuner est inclu, très belle vue sur la mer à partir du restaurant, il y a un ascenseur qui relie l'hôtel a la hip strip, c'est la rue touristique a nobay, j'aurais aimé obtenir deux clés de la chambre mais pas possible, en général très satisfait, bon rapport qualité prix

+ Bon emplacement, accès facile à la plage, chambre plutôt bien à condition de pouvoir en avoir une dans les étages supérieurs, petit déjeuner agréable et copieux : plutôt une bonne surprise par rapport aux photos du site. - accueil peu professionnel à la réception (pas très efficace et surtout pas vraiment ouvert aux questions : on a plutôt l'impression de déranger que d'être accueilli comme des clients) ; taxi un peu cher à la disposition des clients voire parfois prix exagérés pour un simple transfert

I stayed at El Greco in February of 2020 hotel was booked through Expedia.com location was great I was able to move around locally my biggest problem is El Greco still did not refund my Deposit that I should have receive at the end of my stay providing there was no issues regarding the property . El Greco please do the right thing send my refund.

Nothing. When I came to the front desk, they said my 'pre-paid reservation' was to late and I was at the desk at 2pm. For the first time in all my years of travel they did not let me in the hotel, and said I had to work it out with Orbitz to get a refund for not staying there.... This WRONG and NOT fair.

Restaurant was very good and excellent service. Did not like to pay to go the beach after 2 days. Air conditioning only in bedroom. Plumbing problem. Wifi only on balcony. Pool looks dirty. Expensive for what it is.

I liked the hotel. The problem was that I thought I was getting a smoking room because that’s what I paid for on the app. But about 2 days into my trip I was told it’s a non smoking place.

The bathroom vanity was falling apart, the kitchen light didn't work, the restaurant was constantly out of menu items and the service took forever. One day we waited at least an hour and 15 minutes for a simple lunch item!! Half the restaurant staff were terrible. The female lobby staff were not polite, friendly or helpful. They were all sullen and rude. The male lobby staff were fine. The pool was OK, but the whole place needs a makeover. It was not a hotel or resort but more like a Motel 6. We had a kitchen, but they didn't provide washclothes, towels, dish detergent, nothing. We had a coffee maker, but no coffee or tea. They also did not provide shampoo or body lotion. To buy all of this stuff either in the motel or in the convenience stores on the Hip Strip cost a fortune. If I was Expedia I would never have offered this motel as a travel option. I feel totally gypped.

When I arrived at the resort i was told that i had to be relocated to another hotel because there was maintenance issues, which is understandable. The issue for me was, you guys waited until i got there to relocate me, and the resort i was relocated to was horrible. When i initially booked, i booked a 2 bed 2 bath with 1 king size bed and 1 queen size bed. The hotel i was relocated to gave me a 2 bed 1 bath with 1 king size bed and 2 twin size beds. That is unacceptable for 2 full grown adults!

Nice place for an airport arrival /departure. Staff could be more friendly at front desk and the wait staff needs better training on service and customer requests otherwise the food was good and the dining has a great view

If you are looking for a place to stay for business just to sleep or if you are planning a stay as a villa with plans to go out this is perfect. The views are breathtaking. However if you are looking for a place to enjoy yourself and relax with many amenities, keep looking.

as the term goes “you get what you pay” beautiful view of Jamaica from the top of the hill were the hotel is situated. El Greco needs up grading. Everything is out dated! Pool, rooms, dinning everything needs updating. Great spot with a view. The food is excellent and your 10 or less walk to both the “beach and on the Hip Strip” plus minutes from the airport.

Great except for initial check-in
Check-in starts at 3pm--it is NOT 24h like listed in the description! Our initial check-in experience was quite poor as there was an extremely apathetic receptionist who turned us away at 10:30am (although we were able to store our bags for free while we wandered the city). We had a much better experience when we returned and every time afterwards, as we interacted with a different receptionist. Seems like the first receptionist was just filling in for the day (public holiday) and didn't know what was going on. The room itself was fine, again no shampoo which is standard for Jamaican hotels, Wi-Fi mostly worked, they do provide pool towels and free access to the Doctor's Cave beach across the street. Breakfast was excellent; free at their restaurant on their property, with option of European (fruit, toast, eggs) or Jamaican (fruit, toast, saltfish, greens). Everything about the stay was great except for the initial check-in.

NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE AS PROMISED
I do not appreciate Deceiving Sales Tactics - this hotel in the propaganda said "airport shuttle" which means free airport shuttle - there is NO airport shuttle. Basically they call you a cab and it is $20 for a 2 mile ride to the airport. So please make sure you correct this because this is not true. it should say "Airport Transportation has a cost" not "airport Shuttle"

The stay was great. The service was great it’s close to hip street and everything you could need to make your stay in MoBay amazing! We missed the breakfast because we didn’t get out on time but I heard it’s amazing!!! I’ll get it next time for sure!

The grounds/maintenance staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff seemed flustered as they seem to be constantly multi-tasking- phone, check in, photo copying etc.. It would be good if thet acknowledged those standing waiting to be served. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom needed updating. The AC leaked twice but the maintenance guys made it bearable because they genuinely care and are very responsive. Breakfast was great. I would recommend this property. It's not a 5 star hotel and you didnt pay 5 star price so when you review it quit comparing it to a 5 star.

I DIDNT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT EL GRECO I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT THAT PROPERTY AGAIN UNLESS THEY START COMPLETELY FROM THE BEGINNING AND REBUILD THE ENTIRE PROPERTY. NO MONEY THATS MADE AT THAT PROPERTY IS BEING INVESTED IN FIXING UP THE PROPERTY. I COULDNT WAIT TO LEAVE. THE CHECK IN PROCESS WAS HORRIBLE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. SPEND A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND STAY AT A MORE COMFORTABLE LOCATION. ITS NO REASON TO EXPLAIN EACH SPECIFIC THING THATS WRONG WITH THAT PROPERTY BECAUSE ITS EVERYTHING WRONG. POOL AREA IS DISGUSTING. I DID NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO GO IN THERE. IF YOU DECIDE TO VISIT THERE ITS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT PAYING FOR COMFORT.
