“I'm bringing my two boys next time; 8 and 6 years old”
drinks were awesome, the food was good, fine dining was beyond delicious, bartenders and hotel staff very friendly
“can't wait to go back love every second of my stay ,love it”
the hotel was so nice , my son and i had so much fun he wanted to live there.my mother and my two neices also did not want to leave they had so much we are planing on go back next year with more of the family :)
“Great place for families”
The resort was a great place for families. We took our 6 month old and had a great time. Everyone was friendly and seemed to always remember us. The only thing I didn't like was the tile in the room and some of the walkways were slick when wet. If you were careful and didn't run it was fine though. The staff was EXCELLENT AND WE LOVED THEM!!!!
“Will go back”
I stayed at a luxury hotel in Cancun, so it is not fair to compare the Starfish to that hotel. But the hotel was very nice, the service and food was exceptional, the activities were entertaining and I will go back the first chance I get.
“I loved it”
The food, the service and the environment was great. We are a young couple and had a good time. It will be even better when we have children. The staff is very polite and accomidating. Lots of fun for the family.
“I Love Jamaica Mon!”
Let me start off when I got off the plane. When I got off the plane and arrived in Montego Bay, Jamaica, I was excited and a little nervous to see what the place would look like. When I got there we checked in and got our luggage and went to see our room. Our room was # 644 and it was very clean and very nice. Everything worked good and we had a great ocean and pool view from the Balcony. The people there are soooo nice and they always have a smile on their face. The pools were nice especially the biggest one closest to the beach. The beach was beautiful and the island that you walk to was very cool. There's alot of things to do on the beach such as Jet-skiing, sail boating, glass bottom boats, snorkling, banana boating, everyting mon. The food was very good, no complaints. One thing that there could be more of is night time things to do. There's nite shows with singing and dancing and my favorite was the "Bubbles Disco" its like a dance club with a different theme every night. Reggae dancehall night is the best to me. I highly recommend this hotel to EVERYONE!!! You will not regret it!
“more than expected;”
Room smallish, clean, nice little balcony w/great view. Food v.good, varied, w mix of local Jamaican & american- fresh veggies, fruits, meats, and plenty of fries & desserts. Jerk Chix at the pool is awesome. Good service. Make reserv at Casablanca or Japanese restaurants right away. All you can drink, all day, really. Entertainment staff is great; join in the fun &make new friends. Great activities for kids & adults. In a less developed area of Jamaica, so neighborhood w/typical local housing, goats munching in front yards, little vendor shacks down the beach. I did not feel like I was in a tourist trap, &you get close to Jamaican culture while enjoying a family friendly resort w/lots of security. Karaoke in both english & Patwa was fun! Great music, bands, dancers - different every evening. Only complaint was rather loud music from disco every night, but we slept w/doors open for ocean breeze effect. Saw several weddings in gazebo on beach. Yoga & Pilates classes were great. All of this is included, as well as transport to and from airport. You can travel around but Cab drivers at the lobby are way overpriced. Go down to the street & negotiate a lower price. The beach is nice, not huge, w/nice sand & gradual sloped swim area. Little kids have room to make castles, & you can enjoy music from the pool area or sit further away for quiet. Hallway carpet worn in spots, but it's outside & not important. Ya mon, this is a good place to slow down & relax.
“Very nice”
It is a very nice resort. Everything is what is to be expected from a 3-3.5 star resort. Nice for children. The kids club is a very good idea. If you can't make any reservations with the sit in restaurants, you're not missing a lot. A friendly note to all men who checks-in to this hotel: bring at least one shirt with colar or better to use at the Casablanca restaurant, if you happen to go during your stay. It is a formal restaurant and they don't allow just shorts or sleeveless shirt. The spa is not so great by the way. I just wish that this resort gives the left-over food to the people living in shacks immediately outside the resort and not just throw it away at the end of the day. The food is okay by the way. Very typical but good. There are few Jamaican menu served each meal.
“Great place for your kids”
Food was excellent, service was great and the staff was very friendly and helful. The cost of taxi rides was quite expensive. I would stay in Ocho Rios because of this. The tour people in the hotel was not that great (not very helful or friendly) the tours however were great.
“Much better then expected!”
We were pleasantly surprised with the resort..The food was good, lots of variety every day at the buffet....poolside grill was great and both the a la carte restaurants are super...Pool was very nice, water was clean and warm! Didn't spend alot of time at the beacgh but when we were there the water was super warm and very clean....Took advantage of the free water activities (snorkelling, banana boat ride) and the kids loved that! Staff were very friendly and always said hello.....The place is in need of a makeover (it's a bit tired looking) but while we were there we saw numerous improvements being done (painting, floors being re-tiles) Breezes is on the right track and I'll bet that in a year, this will be one beautiful resort! The gardens and trees were beautiful and very well kept. The rooms were a good size and we easily had enough room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The bar fridge was a nice addition to the room as was the satellite TV....The main lobby has pool tables and arcade games, which are all free of cost. This is a true all inclusive resort....no extra fees and no tipping allowed. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to go again...
