“I would recommend this hotel again to anyone anytime. It was just great.”
I found the hotel very clean with friendly staff and the room was in very well appointed but for an older television. I would recommend this hotel again and I would be happy to stay there again anytime.
“First rate getaway spot!”
I picked this hotel because of its proximity to the Rio Hondo Bike Trail and the easy access to public transportation. The room was very nice, the bed comfortable and the bar and restaurant were great, five stars from me!
“Perfect location”
Complimentary Breakfast was a slice of toast and a stale muffin. The hotel itself if perfectly set in the middle of both Disneyland and Hollywood/Downtown LA. Took only about a half hour in either direction. Right next to the highway for easy on/easy off.
“Un très bon hotel !”
le montebello est un très bon hotel pour séjourner à los angeles, mais il est situé au centre d'un genre de zone industrielle. Ne cherchez donc pas d'activités à proximité si vous êtes à pieds. Par contre il se trouve à 5 min en voiture de Citadel Outlet, un très bon shopping center où les prix défis toute concurrence (Billabong, Hurley, Ecko, Levis, ... il a un site internet). Je crois que vous pouvez prendre un shuttle pour vous y rendre. Le service est bon, pas de problème pendant le séjour. Le petit déjeuner était inclu dans le prix de la chambre. Il est assez copieux. Bref un très bon hotel à recommandé seulement si vous prévoyez de louer une voiture ou si vous aimez le bus... XD

I had read some of the reviews about this hotel and was a little leery, however when I arrived, the room was clean and looked well maintained. There was a DJ in the lobby restaurant/bar that was very loud. I can see how this could be a problem for some of the rooms. My room was on the 5th floor so the DJ's music never bothered me. Even the 1st room floor I originally received was unaffected by the music. I changed rooms because the original room was non-smoking. The pool and workout facility both looked clean and well kept, but I did not use either. Access to the highway was quick and easy making it simple to get where I need to go. I would stay there again without any reservations about the hotel.
“Not so bad, not so good”
I stayed here with my 5years son and 3years daughter. Actually, we stayed for Disney Resorts, it takes only 20min. by car and it was very easy to reach. At night, there is a CLUB (pool bar??) at grand floor, so it was little noisy, but our room was 7th floor, and we didn't hear the sounds. The one thing that I can tell you, the hotel is not fomal style, it's a casual style one. If you don't mind those, I can recommend here.
“Not as bad as the negative review”
After I have booked the hotel and got to hear about some of the negative reviews, I was quite worry about my stay there with my wife and 3 year old. However, It is not as bad as I heard. I guess it depends on the room that you have. I stay in one that is near the ice machine, vending machine and the lift. So the noise level is slightly higher. The breakfast is not a wide variety but it is quite nice. It is complimentary. If you are not a fussy person, I guess it is alright to stay there.
“Not impressed”
When I arrived at the front desk, I waited about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledge myself. It seemed like no one was around until I started looking for an employee to get some kind of service.
“I guess the star rating no longer means anything. 3 star? I don't think so!”
Having read reviews(after we booked our package),we were apprehensive about what our experience would be.Though we contemplated trying to change hotels(based on reviews),we decided we wouldn't be spending much time at the hotel anyway so we decided to not change plans. Like one of the other reviews, we too had a refrigerator, but no microwave. After waiting for 2 hours the 1st day we decided to cancel the request to avoid maintenance having to come in our room while we were away.First thing the next morning I reminded the front desk about the microwave. I was told it would be delivered during the room cleaning. We stopped in briefly about 5 hours later, still no microwave.Gave another reminder. Returned again around 8PM, you guessed it, still no microwave.At this point my wife came unglued (Lord help them).This time about 30 minutes later the microwave was delivered, but them the maintenance guy received an urgent call and had to leave before removing the old microwave and refrigerator (microwave was bolted down so we couldn't just move it over).In hindsight, it was so tiny a homeless person wouldn't have wanted it so why it was bolted down...ok I'll focus.Well after waiting 30 minutes for maintenance to return,we finally put on the do not disturb sign because we had to leave and didn't want anyone in our room while we were away.The loud music didn't bother me, but then again we were on the 4th floor.I try to always think positive, so I'll admit I've stayed at worse places.
