“Fantastic views”

Fantastic views of Monte Carlo and bay below from rooms and public areas. Lovely bedrooms, good size. We had two rooms overlooking Monte Carlo one had two balconies on a corner, one balcony on the mountain side one balcony with Monaco view. Some communicating rooms. Spacious bathrooms. Great friendly, service throughout. Minuses are: noise from the mountainside roads (also if they host a reception below), no locks on balcony doors, broken shower head lock for height adjustment in one room. Noise probably less a problem with Cap Martin views. Limited restaurant choices but great buffet breakfast (4 star prices) with gorgeous view.

Amazing view from the room and the pool. It is out of this world. Very luxurious room. I definitely recommend it.

“Simply Sublime”

Pulling up to the hotel was hair-raising as roads are narrow, winding and there was hardly any place to park (the direction to the parking lot for the hotel isn't clearly demarcated). That aside, we were well received. The decor in the room is a bit dated but all the more charming because of this. The room itself is comfortable and the view is simply sublime. The staff are charming and very helpful. We had a wonderful time lazing pool-side and in the garden. The pool isn't large but is more than sufficient as guests don't tend to pile into it, and you can't argue with that panoramic view! Pool-side service from Steven was delightful and we had some tasty cocktails and snacks. One of our only complaints was that there was someone nearby using a circular saw intermittently so the noise was quite irritating. At 7pm the seating is re-arranged so we felt we couldn't lay by the pool much longer which we didn't like. The complimentary shuttle service into Monte Carlo is great and seeing the chaos of the downtown area reassured us of our decision to stay at Vista Palace rather than downtown. We had a meal in the hotel's restaurant which was wonderful, and also pool-side which was very good as well. We did not take the time to go to the hotel's private beach but inquired regarding it. Shuttle service to the beach is complimentary but there is a surcharge of 20 euro if you wish to use a chaise longue and umbrella. All in all we had a delightful stay and would gladly stay there again!
