“Acceptable”

Basically a good hotel that is shop-worn and overdue for renovation, but clean. Convenient location with a nice view from rooms facing the river. The restaurant is adequate, but no match for The Bistro restaurant a few blocks away. Staff of both the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful. All in all, still OK, but the clock is running down on the need for refurbishment.

“Great value”

This hotel was definitely a good value for an overnight stay. We arrived late and checked out the next morning . The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Our 13 year old son is in a wheelchair and the hotel was fully accessible (although the bathroom was a little small) and our assigned room was convenient to the lobby. The in-house restaurant was comfortable and the breakfast we enjoyed was good, reasonably priced and with good service. A bonus was the spectacular view of the river from the dining room and the lovely patio/deck also looking out on the water. The hotel is a little out of the way now that it is on a dead end street but this does make it a quiet location. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

Area recommendations

Great stopover location on our way from Ottawa to Nova Scotia.

Getting there

We take the Renous Highway from Grandfalls to Miramichi. The forests are spectacular. The road is a bit rough in spots and isolated (poor cell phone service) but it is a much shorter route than going through Fredericton. Watch out for the wildlife - we were stopped for a few minutes by two young moose meandering across the road - amazing experience though!

“Love Miramichi,Will Be Back Often”

Enjoyed every minute of our stay, staff friendly and accomodating.couldn't ask for anything more

Anywhere along the Miramichi River, especially along the outskirts of the city.

Family-friendly activities

As we were visiting extended family,they took us siteseeing. We've only been there in late fall or winter, can't wait for summer to spend some time in a cottage along the river, and enjoy some .out door ad beach activities/
