Pros: Quiet! Clean -- great breakfast and happy hour.
Cons: It is pretty perfect.
Location: Tons of shopping near by in Edina center, Uptown, Mall of America. Trader Joe's nearby -- my fave.
Great location. Great stay. We will definitely stay here again. There is a Hertz office on site. We will take the free shuttle from the airport to hotel to pick up our car there. Seems so convenient.

Nice place for kids

Cons: The hotel should stop handing out the green slips for access to the park and pool and instead let the hotel guests enter with their room keys.
I thought this hotel was a good value for the price. However, there are some areas for improvement. This hotel only has 2 elevators. During our stay, one of them was not working. So every time we returned to our room, it was between a 10 - 20 min wait for an elevator, depending on the time of day. Also, the pool and the jungle gym are not part of the hotel. Hotel guests may enter for free, but only with a slip given to you during your hotel registration. So if you forgot your slip of paper on your way down to either the jungle gym or the pool, you had to wait 10 - 20 minutes for an elevator to take you back up to your room to retrieve it. It was time-consuming and a huge inconvenience. On the up side, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and breakfast was served for 3 hours - a huge improvement from most places I've been to that only serve the continental breakfast for 1 hour.

Thank you for your input regarding your stay with us . I am sorry for the inconvenience you expereinced with our elevators. This is the final step in our renovation process to ensure our elevators are up to guest standards. They are actually done as of today. As for the park you are correct it is run by the city and we do not have control of the hours, however we do try to advertize that this is not a part of the hotel but our guests do have use of the park. Thank you again for your input and compliments regarding our staff and cleanliness.

Nice hotel

We have stayed here before and will stay again. My only complaint is that the pool was not open due to a heat pump being out.

Needs some TLC

We have always loved this hotel - until now. Pool closed until further notice, not mentioned on website. Elevator slower than molasses, always a line. Breakfast used to be fantastic, now more like a low to mid end contenental, fake eggs, no meat, unless you count hash (and I do not). The second day we did not even go down. As per the front desk, you have to run the water for 5 - 10 minutes to get hot water in the room (more like 15 minutes) what a waste. They said the water heater is on the lower level and is very old. The bed was so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep (that is a personal preference item and some may love them). The front desk people were great, very friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel has grown incredibly since I was last there. Shopping, dining, you name it, it's there. Probably 15 minutes from the dome. I expect a certain level from Marriott and it seems they are slipping. They could take a tip or two from the Hyatt Place Hotels that are becoming my new favorite.

Excellent hotel and a fabulous location. The manager's reception was such a great surprise. I have stayed at many hotels and this one was by far the best for the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and also Ciao Bella across the street - excellent restaurant.
