“Not Impressed”

The overall personnel of the hotel were excellent. The facility needs some help. The ceiling in our room was flaking off due to water damage, The furnace quit working while there. There was dirty sheets on the pull out bed. The room was overall dusty. Attention to detail was lacking in the rooms. The pools were very nice, and the staff were exceptional. If the rooms received more TLC this would be an excellent hotel.

“wonderful location.great staff/”

the hotel is across from the mall of america. the hotel staff is friendly. the rooms are clean. the only thing i thought was that the shuttle only picks you up once an hour from the hotel and from the mall of america,but it is within walking distance to the mall. the food is good with biscuits,potatoes,waffles, and few other assortments.

“Great value & Ideal Location”

This hotel offers suite-rooms; which gives you all the space you need for a comfortable stay. With fridge and microwave you can stash some breakfast food/drink away for later with no problem. Free coffee, papers and cookies daily (all day, not just in the am) is that little extra. The convenience of the hotel to the Mall of America allows you to have a hassle-free stay and enjoy the access to the Mall. Just a five minute walk and you are at the Hiawatha train able to travel all the way for a measly $1.75 each way. Having the iHop and TGI Friday's "inside" the hotel with room delivery for the entire menu gave us the flexibility, comfort and enjoyable stay we were looking for. It was very well priced for the features; and Scott, the engineer was especially helpful when our heating wasn't working. The only thing I would recommend is a little more selection of hot items at breakfast. Otherwise, a great deal and a lot of small features that make a much better hotel location than others at twice the price. Also, the free bus to the Mystic Lake casino was extremely convenient for those who want a little gamblin time while on vacation without having to find a rent-a-car and figure out how to get there! Car-free vacation awaits you.

Area recommendations

Bloomington has the Mall of America with easy access to all stops on the Hiawatha rail line including the MOA Metrodome for Vikings games; as well as easy access to the Mystic Lake Casino by free bus. Buses also run to Duluth; and probably some other places too.

“Excellent Hotel for Mall of America”

Country Inn and Suites by Carlson Mall of America was the perfect hotel for us! It is right across the street from the mall. We ate dinner at Ruby Tuesdays which is adjacent to the hotel. The hotel provided shuttle to the airport and mall which was excellent. The continental breakfast had a variety included cereal, toast/bagels/muffins, fruit, oatmeal, potatoes, sausage, scrambled and boiled eggs. I do not have any complaints!!!

“Overal nice place to stay by the Mall or Airport.”

The hotel was extremely close to the Mall of America (where I needed to be for business) and clean, quite and very convienently located by two restuarants. It also had a wonderful warm feeling when enetering due to the Christmas decoration that were up. Breakfast was good.

“Always Stay Here”

When we go to the MOA we always stay here. The staff is SUPER friendly and go out of their way to accomodate! Beds & pillows very comfortable. You can flush the toilet and it doesn't effect the shower water, which is a must for 3 mall shopping women. Be sure to find the AUTO fan for the room control and you're all set!
