“"Must do"”
This hotel is worth the visit. I have read other reviews and find them some what dishearting. The hotel has a great location for the Riverwalk area and is close to everything. The hotel clerk was extremely fast and efficient. We were there for a Cubs game so our time was limited and the Hotel Manager was very supportive of geting us to the game and back safely even though it was THE CUBS. Should go to this hotel. We will return and we will stay at the hotel. How about this? We are staying at the athletic club! Rates, service, location and just a great time this hotel is a must.

“clean, classy, older hotel”
Mind you, I only stayed one night. Staff was friendly and polite. Location was walking distance to the water street walkway area. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and well appointed.
“Perfect Location for walking around downtown Milwaukee”
It was very easy to find. Within easy walking distance of summerfest grounds. We were able to easily find great places for sandwiches, coffee, and even a really nice farmer's market. It's not fancy, but if you want to walk around the beautiful places of downtown milwaukee, this would be a great choice.

Quite, nice room, excellent facilities, responsive and friendly staff. Dining in leaves much to be desired but excellent restaurants nearby..
“Loved the Health Club!”
The hotel had a convenient downtown Milwaukee location near the Pabst Theater. The room was HUGE, and clean. The athletic club was free for hotel guests and was huge, like a Golds Gym except for that it was separate facilities for women and men. We both had a nice workout at our separate health clubs.

Wonderful hotel, great bar, rooms are very clean with a dormroom feel.
“Great Hotel”
This appears to be a private members club that has overnight rooms available to the public. It is a beautiful old building in a great location. Easy access to highways, and nice walking to the river walk and lake shore. Lots of restaurants & pubs in the area if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Loved having windows in the room that actually open. The bathroom was a bit outdated but clean and large. The room was over-sized as well and the bed was very comfortable. Great front desk service!
“A Nice Discovery”
I go to Milwaukee often. I ended up here because other hotels were full. A very nice surprise. Inexpensive, but the rooms were nice, the staff friendly. It has a spectacular roof-top bar. An easy walk to restaurants, bars and downtown work locations. Includes access to the Club's athletic facilities. Hotel's web site says rooms are available only to members of reciprocating athletic clubs, but that was not the case, at least through Expedia. I'll definitely go back.
“Great stay”
Very cool and excellent value. Only stayed one night, but could have liked to have made better use of the facilities. Would definately stay there again.
