What I don't like is that I don't get the Hilton Honors points and all the Hilton Honors perks, benefits, when I book a Hilton hotel through Expedia, starting with automatic connect with HHonors wifi. The reason why, I usually book flights with Expedia, but no hotels. If you could fix this issue, and find a solution with Hilton, Marriott, etc. to let your customers get their loyalty program points, at par with your cost for allowing this quoted separately, Expedia would get more business from us, as from millions of other customers. This is certainly a more constructive way to deal with loyalty programs. I could always book Hilton through Expedia, because at the least I can compare and make sure that I get a fair market price from Hilton, while comparing other hotels on Expedia. I am Expedia customer for more than 20 years, the same for Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Holiday Inn, etc. Keep in mind, being in a Hilton or other hotel chain worldwide and enjoying the familiarity and their loyalty programs benefits is the reason why people like to stay with these hotel chains and feel kind of at home with all the travel they undertake.

It’s a beautiful historic building that is close to everything in downtown Milwaukee. The valet parking was the fastest & most efficient we’ve ever seen. On the negative side, the breakfast buffet was disappointing, lukewarm, bland, & overpriced. In our bathroom, the bathtub caulking looked like it was done by an inexperienced amateur. Lastly, housekeeping was uneven. The room was clean, but we had only one coffee cup and packet of coffee, even though it was obvious there were 2 guests staying for 3 nights. We requested more, but it never happened.

Our room was dirty, the countertop the tv was on had old dried pizza sauce or some other type of food. One of the bedding covers had something red on it, not sure if it was lipstick, food or something else. The toilets were not cleaned well. We understood this property was downtown; however, we did not expect homeless sleeping in between the two entrance doors. Very disappointing stay.

The building is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My family and myself mostly stay here when we visit Milwaukee, which is maybe 5 or 6 times each year. There are parking garages within 1 block, great places to eat breakfast at a walking distance, the breakfast in the hotel is great as well, the Public Market is a few blocks away...the location is perfect for us. The rooms are large...some are huge and ceilings are high. We have no complaints.

We had multiple issues with this property. First, one of our rooms wasn't a king at first, so they swapped to another room that smelled like cigarette smoke, so eventually the second room got in to a king room that didn't smell like smoke on the 3rd try. Then in that same room, there were multiple dirty towels with stains on them. Then in the second room, there was very loud club music late at night, so I called the front desk to ask about it and was met with hostility, even though I was really just asking if they knew when the music would end and not asking for anything from the property.

Wonderful experience
Our experience here was amazing. We booked last minute after cancelling a stay in a four star hotel that was not clean. Hilton Garden Inn was such a relief. The building has a fascinating history and many beautiful original features. The rooms have high ceilings and large windows and are decorated and maintained well. All staff we encountered were friendly and seemed to really care for guests and this lovely property. This will be our go-to hotel in downtown Milwaukee. We couldn’t be more pleased.

The property was beautiful. The staff were amazing. opened doors, helped with bags. The front desk guy Wilhelm was overly amazing! He messaged me before we had arrived and was so helpful! I would totally stay here again and again if I ever get back to Milwaukee!

Nice spot/great location, lacking housekeeping
The service was great. The only two issues we had, one greater than the other was that a cigarette, a wrapper and a piece of lettuce were all found under/around the foot of the bed. Also, there were two stains on one comforter. The shower handle was also loose, with a small gap between the wall (forgivable, if the room was well-cleaned). Whether housekeeping did a 'quick' job or what, I'm not sure, but it was a little unsettling that some obvious items were missed during cleaning. Other than that, the place was lovely, shower pressure was good and space was nice.

Great front desk staff!
The front desk staff was great! The heat was not working in my first room. I was transferred to another room which was not adequately cleaned. The front desk manager came to the room and cleaned it himself.

Questionable at best
Let's start with the pros: - Fairly priced - Responsive and helpful front desk - Generously sized rooms with modern amenities Now the cons: - Housekeeping needs an overhaul. I had to change rooms three times due to various cleanliness issues. Room 1 had hair on top of the comforter and hair on the bathroom floor. Room 2 had hair on the bathroom floor and finger print smudges in the long length window. Room 3 (which I settled with because of a time constraint) had hair on the bathroom floor, on the toilet, on the shower door and shower walls. And to add insult to injury, when I took a shower and pulled down a towel - yup you can guess it, there was a long strand of hair that came down with it. Of note: I have black dreadlocks, so the long blond hair is impossible to be my own. Housekeeping is asleep at the wheel here. The front desk did me a solid and changed me rooms and ultimately comped me a night. However I will not stay at this hotel again.

We attended a show at the Pabst Theater and booked this in part because of its proximity to the historic 3rd ward. We could not have been more pleased. Terrific across the board. Perfect location. Walking distance to nightlife. The accomodations were fabulous...but only if you love floor to very high ceiling windows! I will stay here again and again!
