“Hotel MILANOSCALA”
Excellent hôtel
“Good but terribly complicated wifi”
Wifi code are 20 numbers and letters long and expire all the time making iy T useless for business traveler
“Everything was great, but...”
Hotel has the best location, helpful and thoughtful stuff, breakfast was great , but something wrong was with heating in our room – we always felt cool and stuff couldn’t do anything!
“small charming hotel”
A charming small hotel, right in the middle of everything in Milan. As there was a taxi strike - we were especially happy about the location. The location is superb! right in the center of downtown Milan, within a walking distance to many attractions, nice restaurants etc. Very nice breakfast and lovely staff added to our positive view. The only let-down was the tiny little room, way too crowded for two people...

My only complaint with the hotel which is something I found with 3 other hotels I stayed in during a week in November was that they were all so hot. In all 3 hotels air-conditioning wasn't available and the heating was automatically on, we had to open the window in Hotel Scalable to try and get some air in but that then made the room noisy. If I return to Milano I would stay at this hotel again as it was quite funky with really good in room favourite.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. First I will talk about the good points of Milano Scala. It has a very good location...walkable to duomo area and a variety of restaurants and cafes. Also relatively close to the train station. The room was a very comfortable size with a pleasing decor. Breakfast was very good and also had a harpist playingon the first morning and a guitarist the following morning. These are my issues with the hotel. A major negative was that you could not control the air conditioner from your room. They had a thermostat, but after 2 days of trying, we realized using it was in vain. They controlled the air temperature from the desk and one has to call them if they want their room below 23 C. The light switches were everywhere and were not intuitive in any way. Even after 48 hours, neither my husband nor I could turn lights on and off in the first or second try. The bedside lamps were inadequate for reading. The hallways were dark and very narrow. Our whirlpool tub did not work properly (not a big deal for me). Not adequate drawer space for a 2 day stay. While the desk staff was efficient, it always seemed as if you were intruding on something else they were doing. Also, prior to our stay I emailed the hotel (3 times) and asked about transportation from the airport to our hotel and did not receive a response. I would recommend this hotel because of it's location, but would tell everyone of the shortcomings I encountered.
