At first i thought I'd made a wrong choice picking this place, but it turned out it was pretty good. Comfortable room, great staff and a relaxed vibe. The draw back for some will be location as it isn't very near the metro, but there are trams and buses. I coped even on the day there was a strike.

Good accommodation at a reasonable price
We spent a week in Milan, and while not central, this was a good well-priced base for exploring the city with bus stops close by. Bus/tram/metro tickets only 2 euros per 90 minutes travel (or day & multi-day tickets available) - tickets available from nearby Tabacchi. Hotel staff are welcoming and helpful. The entrance, reception areas and dining room are well-presented; our twin room was quite acceptable for the price paid but ready for refurbishment, especially the bathroom, but everything worked, was clean and the shower was hot. We found the beds very comfortable with good clean bedlinen, had daily room service (all towels changed daily which wasn't as eco-friendly as it could have been). A good fridge in the room and complimentary bottled water provided. The buffet breakfast was good. A few restaurants and supermarkets within the area.

Comfortable stay in Milan
Comfortable stay in Milan located near the Navigli area. The hotel was quiet, the room was a smaller size but comfortable and had air conditioning. There is a parking garage onsite. Due to covid, they didn’t have a breakfast buffet and instead took your breakfast order at check-in (including what time you’d like to come for breakfast writhing the time they serve) which was prepared and served at the table to minimize crowding around a buffet. Overall a nice, comfortable stay.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The room was very comfortable and most of the staff was nice! It's on par with a 3 star hotel. The only thing I would mention is an incident that I had. I'm Jewish, and I chose this hotel because it's not too far of a commute/walk from the Jewish area in Milan. When I mentioned to one of the receptionist that I'm Jewish, his attitude towards me changed, and he started telling me a negative encounter he has had with Jewish people in the past and that he is not fond of religious jews. It made me feel uncomfortable, because I'm a young Jewish woman from NY, and I have no idea who the people he has had an encounter with in the past, and probably have no relation to them. Clean and comfy
The hotel is located about 30 mins away by public transportation to the Duomo. There is bus stop with frequent service to the nearest metro , so it was actually more convenient than I thought. Hotel is very clean in general. I was lucky enough to be the first guest in their recently renovated room. Small room but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good for 5 days . Staffs are helpful. Will stay here again when I visit next time :)

We often stay at this hotel as it's very close to where we need to be. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. The breakfast area is also very clean and breakfast is decent. The room was clean but in serious need of updated decor and facilities and there's always a faint smell of cigarettes in the rooms and lift. They could also do with a decent air con system. The staff informed us that they are upgrading their systems at reception for check in/out.

The hotel is clean, and in a good location for showroom appointments, however the rooms are in need of updating- the décor is dated . Good value for money as the breakfast offering is good and the staff are lovely and friendly and speak English, but the rooms did not have air con and it was so uncomfortable in the heat. you get what you pay for basically

Nice hotel. Comfortable, modestly sized room. Mini-fridge and safe (although the safe wasn’t working when we stayed). Within walking distance of the centre. Friendly, helpful staff. 24hr reception.

Pillow hard. No smoking room smelled horribly of cigarettes. Every surface in the room stunk of smoke. Staff was friendly and helpful. An egg would have been nice at breakfast, but the the experience was otherwise acceptable.

Not too far from center. Interior more attractive than exterior but safe neighborhood. Four blocks to #14 tram which gets you everywhere, 15 minutes to canal district, and 25 minutes to the Duomo. Breakfast mediocre.

decent budget hotel for a weekend
Some good places to eat within 15 to 20 mins walking distance...duomo castellano and parco sempione was easy to walk to ... public transport also regular. The hotel room was hot tho it is November but you can open window and switch heating off to cool off. Breakfast is cold continental buffet style. Reception service was pleasant and staff were nice. Wud recommend for those on a budget.

Convenient but lackluster
Staff was helpful with directions but slow in processing issues. They also neglected to tell us about the breakfast included so we missed out on that for 2 out of 3 days that we stayed. We had a tremendous issue on the last evening which spoiled the entire experience. Our next door neighbor had an issue with us talking in the room (no tv, no music, no shouting or partying. Just two girls talking at a normal volume). They screamed at us in Italian and pounded on the walls. It was absolutely terrible. The front desk did nothing to intervene except to ask us to "turn down the tv" which wasn't on in the first place. Our previous neighbors on nights 1 and 2 had absolutely no problems with us.

We would stay there again
We needed to travel by tram or bus, which was quite easy in Milan, especially the tram. A map marking where to purchase transportation tickets and the location of transport would be good. I liked this hotel, the complimentary breakfast was great, a nice coffee machine with a variety of coffees, juices, water and more. We felt this hotel was a good value and I have already referred someone.

The room was clean as well as presentable. The staff at the front desk was not helpful. The "Free WiFi" was trash, i barley had two bars of it. The password was not provide untill it was asked for. The "Free Satellite TV" trash as well. The room was chilly, there was no safe in the room for my important belongings such as my passport, extra cash, etc... all of that i had to take with me. Over all, i would not stay there again.

I was there for 3 nights with my parents who are old. The staff were cooperative and the room was good, clean and many TV channels. Breakfast is ok, without eggs. The location is acceptable; with bus 50 or 61 from Napoli station which is just 1 Minute to hotel you can reach Cadorna main station in 9 stops. There is just close to castle . We came from Milan to Cadorna and then to hotel. You can buy ticket from Tobacco shops or kiosks. The tourist bus tour has also station at Cadorna. The bathroom was excellent for old people who cannot move that much. There is great shop near bud station.

Amazing staff took care of our corporate group!
We had a group for corporate travel booked in some residences that ended up being far less than desired. Hotel Des Estrangers staff were amazing. I booked online the night before, and that day got all 10 people (10 rooms) checked-in quickly and the clients were very happy. Tatiana and her front desk team were also amazing at getting transportation back to the airport arranged, and were very patient with what was a very demanding corporate group. Would definitely recommend again.

Good hotel for the price
Stayed 1 brief night on business. The staff were friendly, the room size and cleanliness fine. Parts of the hotel seem to have been refurbished as the breakfast room was modern and bright - with a good choice of continental breakfast for the price. The bedroom décor, though, was dated and could do with a facelift. However, it was clean, equipped as you'd expect and wifi was included. I've rated it 4 as it's in line with what I'd expect for the price and I'd stay there again if I had business in the area.

Ideally located, small and quiet
I returned to this hotel as I was impressed the first time and found it even better this time. The roooms have been refurbished and are modern and comfortable, well serviced and very quiet. Ideal location, off the main road, well connected to the nearby Wagner /Fiera area by bus, but an underground parking is also available. No restaurant, only fairly basic breakfast, but plenty of choice in the area. Great for single and business travellers as conference facilities are also available. Cheaper if booked via Expedia than directly. A little gem.

In need of a make over...room decor is very 80s with poor lighting. Staff are helpful enough but a little aloof. Breakfast is nothing special served in a very noisy basement room. No coffee available in rooms or reception. It's ok if you're just going to sleep here, but depressing if you have to spend an evening in the room

We booked two rooms for 3 people for our Milan trip with tickets to La Scala. They first put us (2 persons) In this awful room on the 7th floor, when there are other rooms available. After much fuzz, we got a normal room. No air conditioning. Breakfast non-eventful.

Good place to stay for Milan
Friendly staff. Room is very clean and functional. Staff had been exceptionally helpful with local information, help with travel, and providing extension to the stay. Take the bus number 61 to and from Cardona station which is the easiest way to get to the hotel if travelling by public transport. Avoid the Pizza place along via George Washington on the left hand side road walking from the hotel.
