“We Shall Return”
It's true that the hotel is not in the best area of Milan as far as surroundings but it is conveniently located about a block from the public transportations. The staff were all friendly and accomodating. They were patient with us in giving directions and information. Love the room because it had hardwood floors so it didn't have any musty carpet smell which is common in older buildings. The bathroom was very clean and maintained. The breakfast was nice, it's not like the buffets here in Vegas but it's a nice way to start the day knowing there's breakfast waiting. It rained one day we were there and the hotel staff lend us an umbrella to use for the day. If you're coming from Melpensa Airport then I do suggest taking the bus since the airport in not exactly in Milan. From Melpensa airport take the bus (5 Euro) to Fierra then take a cab to Via Plana (approx 5 Euro). It's the cheapest way to go. Enjoy your stay, we did and we plan on going back and staying at Berlino again.
“very nice”
simply & nice
“Excellent hotel on a good location.”
Tram station is near and it takes you all the way to center for little money. Service was great and helpful. Only complaint I had was with AC. I'd prefer if it was a bit more effective for the hot days I had.
“Nice Hotel and staff”
I would recommend this hotel but be aware it is a Business hotel. If you are planning on sleeping in it probably wont happen. The staff are very nice, rooms are small but clean and beds comfy. The breakfast buffet offered alot of choices and it was overall a great stay. Try the coffee shop on the corner- they are fantastic!
“Can't wait to go back!”
It was a very nice hotel and very easy to find (despite the one-way streets). The staff was very helpful and gave us directions to a wonderful restaurant within walking distance. The restaurant was called "Scrigno Del Duomo" and I highly recommend it! Everything was very close to this hotel.
“Would Stay Again”
Overall the hospitality of the staff at the hotel was awesome. I cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel, very impressed by the overall cleanliness of the building, Rooms were small, beds are comfortable and the shower pressure ROCKS!! Great Restaurant/bar downstairs just opposite hotel with a friendly face and great food. The hotel is on a residential area, seems to close up early, but this worked just fine, as the hotel advice us where to eat out for late night food & advice us on bar in the area, the number 57 bus takes you direct to town centre just under 20 minutes, there are more pub/bar and restaurant which opens late, the Italian eat early so be prepare to eat bar food on late night out or search for late opening restaurant as we did every night, we seem to be hungry quite late in the evening hotel staff met all our needs for this one week stop. Fantastic transport connections, very residential location away from tourist madness in the city centre. We enjoyed out stay we we found the people there to be helpful and friendly to a clueless traveler. Great hotel, even greater city. Thanks guys
“Brilliant hotel good transport links”
hotel is a little out of town but with great transport links it only takes 10-15 mins to get to the city centre. lovely hotel and very helpful staff
“Good value a short trip from the centre”
Great service from Reception (Housekeeping was a little variable, but still better than many hotels). Clean, spacious, recently refurbished rooms with controllable heating, large wardrobe, desk, Sky TV. Spacious bathroom with good shower and bath (quirk - wait 3 mins if early/late in day for hot water to feed). Ample breakfast included, with good variety. Location - bit of a walk from any Metro/Subway but the trams are one block away - take an old tram e.g. 19 to Duomo for atmospheric ride (c.20 mins). Buses plentiful. Well situated for Fiera. Overall - great value if you are happy to use public transport to get to centre. Get 2 day transport ticket for c.5 Euro from newsagent adjacent department store (La Rinascente).
“Comfortable & very convenient for Duomo & main rail station”
Well upto standard. Staff were very pleasant and provided a good service. The Hotel is very conveniently placed for the Duomo and central Milan as well as the Central Rail Station being only 3 or 4 minutes walk from a tram stop.
“Great place to stay”
Great hotel, great value, Quiet nieghborhood, only complaint was when i got there they didnt show my booking, but upon further inspection they found the problem and everything was good.
