“Doria Grand Hotel is a must visit!”
I was absoultley in love with the accomidations at the Doria Grand Hotel in Milan, Italy. The location is SURPERB. It is only a ten minute walk from the train station. There are also several metro lines that are seconds away. Most importantly, there is the world famous LaBogute Gellataria, which is a world renoun gellato shop that specializes in gelato served in fresh fruit. The shop is around the corner from the hotel. The hotel itsef is lavish and gorgeous. Wonderful breakfast buffet, dining room, and cafe. The rooms are exceptional as well is the service. I definitly reccomend!
“An Oasis”
A very nice hotel. Very convenient to the train. Staff was very competent. Rooms are well soundproofed -there was no street noise. This is a real plus after twelve hours of traveling.
“Excellent hotel for the price”
The hotel was very accomodating, comfortable and extremely well priced. The service was ecellent and we had a great nights sleep. The neighborhood is fine - busy with restaurants and bars close by. Prettiest dining room for breakfast
“Very Pleased at the Gran Doria!”
We stayed at the Gran Doria for 2 nights and it was fantastic. They had a delicious breakfast in the morning, the rooms were cleaned every day and the location is right near the Metro for local inter city travel and just a few blocks from the Train Station for travel throughout Italy or elsewhere. There's a Supermarket right across the street for Odds and Ends and we felt nothing but safe in the area. Would definitely reccommend.
“Good overall value”
We were getting a train early the following morning so we needed a location close to the Stazione Centrale. The hotel was easy to find, the welcome from reception excellent. The room itself was a good size with a large and comfortable bed. The best part was that the room was very well insulated as it faced the street but we did not hear any traffic or other noises to disturb our sleep. In the morning the breakfast (complimentary) was abundant with a great selection of both continental and cooked options. I will definatelty use the Doria Grand Hotel on future visits to Milan.
“ADI Grand Hotel Doria”
This hotel was very convenient to the Milan Central Train Station and airport bus terminal. It is also close to subway stations to get to the Duomo and other sites in Milan. It had one of the best included breakfasts I have had in a hotel in Europe.
“Fine hotel and a fair price with a great breakfast”
Milan is a pricey city but this hotel offers excellent value. It is located only a few blocks from the train station which is also a metro stop. That makes it convenient for local travel. There is also a bus from Malpensa that goes to the train station so it is also convenient for air passengers. The hotel itself is clean and the staff efficient. You can choose to have help with your bags or not and access to the rooms is very easy. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and a nice bar. It also serves a first rate breakfast.
“A Great, Classy Hotel”
This is a classy hotel - the pictures are very accurate. It is easy to get to either the train station or the metro - less than 3 blocks for either. I did not find the area to be "seedy" as one reviewer expressed - it is an older area. We walked each night to a different restaurant and did not feel uncomfortable with the area. There are excellent restaurants within a few blocks. To get to the Duomo and Galleria for shopping, you can either walk (a long walk) or take the subway, - it is only a few stops. Shopping was easy. The hotel has a classy European character - seems like it should be classified higher. The ambience was excellent. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant but did attend the live jazz in the bar. Breakfast is good with a large selection. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would return again myself.
“not our deco style but great hotel”
conveniently located near metro stations and main railway station. very comfortable and clean. air conditioning very good, not noisy worked efficiently. breakfast excellent though we didn't try the restaurant as out most days
